After Hours events now at Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom

Disney has just announced that the after hours events at Magic Kingdom will also be at Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Has anyone gone to an after Hours event and did you enjoy it? Was it worth the money? There is an event at all 3 parks when we are there in January but I'm not sure it's worth another $95 when we already have annual passes.

We went to an MK one when we were there in August. I think it's worth the extra money if you want a truly empty park with substantially less guests. We got free popcorn and free bottled pop and water. Most rides were walk on's except 7dmt and that was about 20 min. Peter Pan was about 10 min. That's the night we were the last ones at the park and got our empty Main Street shot.

I might think about it if we weren't local and only went once every few years. I can see paying extra for something I really wanted to ride without ridiculous waits an with less crowds.

But so far we've been lucky enough to find FPs for everything at some point or another and know we came come back again and do anything we missed the next time. (Spoken like a true spoiled FL passholder laugh )

But part of me grumbles about just more things Disney does to get more money and make it easier for people with money to have a different experience.

I knew I read about someone going but I couldn't remember who! I know I'd love the low crowds and being able to just walk on rides, but $95 seems a little steep for 3 hours. Erik says we'd need to eat our weight in ice cream and pop corn to make it worth it laugh

This is how I feel. We are lucky enough to go often so if we miss something or the wait is long, we just plan to do it next trip. I do love the idea of walk on rides and very small crowds though. However, I feel like they might be fazing out extra magic hours and replacing it with after hours. There doesn't seem to be nearly as many extra magic hour days (especially evenings) any more.

Hmmm, I haven't noticed a reduction in EMH over the years we've been going. For the most part, I always remember MK and Epcot having 1 morning EMH and 1 evening EMH. Of course, we don't look at that when planning park days so maybe it has changed?

I definitely won't do it every trip, but I could see us doing it again, especially at MK. Not sure if I would for the other parks though.

AK never seems to have evening EMH anymore. Unless they have them when we're not there lol

I absolutely want to do one of these. I'm really hoping one shows up for our June trip. I'd probably only do it at Magic Kingdom though as the main draw for me would be walking around MK with little to no crowds, plus I feel like Magic Kingdom has more attractions that I'd love to hit up with low wait times.

I did a DVC After Hours event at DAK and loved it. I absolutely adore Animal Kingdom after dark and would jump at the opportunity to stay even later than normal.
