Annual Christmas/Anniversary Trip*Updated~Full Pre~TR*

In less than 72 hours, DH and I will be enjoying 5 full days at WDW and I am so excited stars yeah stars

Each year we go to Orlando the week of Thanksgiving for 4-5 days to celebrate our wedding Anniversary(It's one week before Christmas) and to enjoy Christmas(a little early) in Disney world. This year I have planned more for this trip than I ever do for our weekend trips so I thought I would do a Trip Report.

The lucky participants: Patrick(DH) and Annie(ME)

We are staying in a one bedroom at the Westin Orlando. We will be visiting the parks Nov. 26-Nov. 30 and driving home Monday Dec. 1 after breakfast.

We live about 2 1/2 hours from WDW, so we will pack the car the night before and leave in the morning right after we feed our 3 kitties breakfast.

WED 26: We will leave our driveway no later than 10am. We'll stop once or twice on the way for gas or something to eat and that should get us to MK between 1-1:30 pm. We are going to spend the entire day and night at MK because we are going to avoid MK tomorrow(Thanksgiving day!) at all costs, so we want to enjoy MK as much as possible today. Our FP+ for today: UTS, BTMR, and 7DMT.*This is only the second time I've ever been able to get a FP+ for 7DMT. The only other time was on the day Disney officially announced what day the 7DMT was opening I happened to be on line and 10 minutes later I had already booked our FP+. Florida resident AP only get 30 days out to pick FP+, so they are never available.*

THURS 27~THANKSGIVING DAY: We decided we wanted an "Un-Thanksgivingy" Thanksgiving, so we chose AK in the morning and HS afternoon/night. We have an ADR today at Sci-Fi-Dine in Theater. We figured this would be the most "Un-Thanksgivingy" option at a HS TS restaurant. Our FP+ today are ToT(my favorite ride in all of WDW) TSM and B&tB. Our last FP+ is at 7:15pm and the rest of the night will be spent at The Osborne Spectacle of Lights. I LOVE these Christmas lights SO much. We spend a few weekends every Nov. & Dec. just enjoying the Lights each night!

FRI 28: MK morning EPCOT evening. Our FP+ selections today are HM, "Jingle" Cruise, and PPF. We will have dinner snacking around EPCOT tonight. It's EMH at Epcot so we will take our time walking around and just enjoying our evening in the WS.

SAT 29: EPCOT morning/afternoon, *maybe* AK for a few hours in late afternoon/ early evening HS night. We have FP+ today for TT, MS, and Turtle talk. We very possibly may only do TT, but you need to pick 3. After lunch in WS, we might go to AK to watch NEMO and ride EE only. Then we will go to HS to end the night with ToT and Osborne lights again. I could spend each night with the lights, but DH doesn't love them quite as much as I do.

SUN 30: FIRST EVER MVMCP yeah yay yeah
Tonight we have our first MVMCP party so we are going to sleep late, have lunch at Whispering Canyon(DH Aunt has been a waitress there for 12 years) and tour the Christmas decorations at the Deluxe Resorts. We've never done the resort Christmas tour, so it should be fun. We will go to MK around 3pm to avoid the 4pm stampede of people going to tonight's party.
To say I am excited about MVMCP is an extreme understatement. Even though we are lucky enough to be locals who go to WDW every few weekends, we don't do the parties, and only rare ADR'S. Christmas and WDW are my two favorite things in the world, so combining them is amazing! This year, Jack "Sandy Claws" Skellington is doing a M&G for the first time and I am thrilled!!! NBC is one of my all time favorite movies and I especially love him dressed as Sandy Claws. I don't know if I'll be able to do the M&G though because I have very severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and if they don't let me use my DAS card with a return time, I'll never be able to stand in line for Sandy Claws. So crossfingers that I am allowed to use my DAS card at the party.
Our plan for the party is do all party activities and *maybe* ride 7DMT once, but that's all for the rides. We are park commandos every weekend we visit. Riding every ride possible, all our time always spent in the parks. But for the MVMCP we want to enjoy every moment of the activities that are only available during the party and not go on rides.

MON DEC 1: We will sleep in this morning, check out of our hotel sometime before 12pm and drive right home. We should be home by 3pm.

You are going to have such an incredible week!
I love the "unthanksgiveny" choices for food! and MVMCP is going to amaze you!
Leave plenty of time for the deluxe resort tour, I was surprised how much time we spent there...
it was one of my favorite times..just a relaxed pace..checking out the resorts and taking pictures..
and of course, enjoying some of the sweet gingerbread treats available for purchase...we even
ended up collecting the limited edition pins which we swore we wouldn't do !
It will be a perfect week muchlove

(and how lucky to live so close to MK!!)

I am especially looking forward to the resort tour. My DH is being sweet about it, but I know he doesn't really care if we do it. I'm hoping the gingerbread treats will get him a little more excited about it laugh I've already said I'm not buying the LE pins either BUT I just saw the pin of Alice with the GF gingerbread house, and I think I have to have that! And if MVMCP has LE Nightmare Before Christmas, forget about it... They're mine biggrin

We're all packed and I've finalized all the details with the cat sitter. Now I just have to clean the house yuck
I would rather do just about anything but I hate coming home after a vacation to a dirty house. Maybe it will go faster if I whistle while I work wink

Don't forget to checkout the limited edition pin at MVMCP that's only available to AP holders...

I didn't even know MVMCP had exclusive AP only pins that you can only get at a party eek Thanks for the tip!
I actually have a few questions about the party only pins.

1. Where do you find the exclusive party and AP pins during a MVMCP? Can you find them at any of the stores that usually have pins or just certain stores?

2. Do they bring the pins out at 7:00 pm since other people who aren't attending can stay in the parks until 7pm? DH and I have been at MK many Sundays when there is a party that night and we check the Emporium between 4:30-6:00pm when we're leaving MK and we've never seen an exclusive party only pin!

I could probably google these answers but I trust the experiences and opinions of the regular posters on WDWFGU more than googled answers when it comes to a Disney world question awesome

Annie you can get them pretty much anywhere they sell pins and yes they start selling them after 7. You may have to ask at the register about the pins if you don't see them. We have had it happen both ways.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! We just watched the Frozen Castle lighting show. I couldn't really see anything because of all the kids on shoulders but it sounded cute. I prefer the Cinderella/Fairy Godmother show though. The new Main Street decorations are nicer in person than in photos and they are very pretty lit up at night.
