Counting days now

I'm counting days now instead of weeks till me upcoming trip.

In five days I'll be sampling Food and Wine Festival delicacies.

In four days I'll be on my way to the Auto Train station, or maybe I'll even have arrived and checked in and be eating lunch in the waiting room while reading a good book.

And in three and a half days I'll be going through my usual pre-departure anxiety attack. Thank God for Ambien.

No, this will be my third Auto Train trip. I LOOOOVE the Auto Train. Honestly, I'm looking forward to the train trip almost as much as the destination. I wish there was an Auto Train route to everywhere.

One-hand counting! Yes!

I want to take an auto train trip so badly! I live in Sanford, which makes it pretty convenient Smile

Have you ever visited Washington, DC? Or would you like to visit again? That would be your perfect opportunity to take the Auto Train. You could easily make a week's vacation out of all the stuff there is to see and do in and around DC.

And...in exactly three days the Auto Train will be pulling out of the station while I drink some complimentary snacks and wine, gaze out the window at the passing scenery, and think about all the fun stuff awaiting in Florida.

I wish it were right now. But three days is not so bad.

I have, actually, and I'm originally from WV...but I'd absolutely love to go back to DC, especially now that I have kids. That's an excellent idea. I may wait until the little one is older. Maybe 2-3 years from now. Thanks! Great tip. And enjoy that ride!
