I taped it when it was on cable one day in high school. I watched it so many times, I think I wore it out. There are a few scenes in that movie that are painfully funny; legendary stuff.

It's amazing that such a repetitive film is so re-watchable. I will watch that and Willy Wonka (the original) whenever they're on!

Right there with ya. That was another VHS tape we literally wore out as kids.

And such a weird movie when you really look at it, right? I love how we as kids were totally oblivious to the late 70's early 80's adult references in stuff laugh

I have one friend in real life who looooooooovvvvveeeeesss going to WDW but she doesn't get into the planning as much as I do.
She went there for her honeymoon and I helped her plan a lot then but on all her other trips she takes more of a laid back approach (no adr's, no plans..nothing). It works for her but it makes me crazy!

I know!! I get all excited by printing out menus and watching the hotel slide shows over and over and over again but she could take or leave it.

Saw the ride is great, i was on it today actually Wink

They also have a new 'ride' though its not really a ride - its called saw the maze, its a bit like HHN at universal but all year round. If I ws visiting London then I would go to thorpe park, Alton towes is a few hours drive and not THAT much better IMO.

Have a look at the website http://www.thorpepark.com/

Lets see...umm my whole family (not all of them are included in this pic but there are some!

ETA: starting from the far left and going clockwise: My mom, BIL, sister, nephew #1, my daughter, myself, nephew #2 and my wise-crackin son who can not take a picture without some sort of weirdness going on! And yes we are all at Disney at Tony's!

I also have a friend who is an Imagineer (geen and purple with JEALOUSY) and now the boyfriend is as much into Disney as I am!

Did you know the Imagineer before he was an Imagineer?

Parents worked at Magic Mountain in the 70's? That sounds cool.

For years I didn't have any friends who "got it".

I was having to convince my many friends to come with me.
No one wanted to repeat a visit. I think it's probably because we would go in the hot summer and the long lines.

Then I started going with our youth group at church so I was able to have a good excuse as a chaperone.

Now I can't keep up with the youth group so I finally made friends with someone I went to college with that loves Disney too, albeit at an adult level, since she isn't crazy about thrill rides so we just go for F & W and Christmas decorations now. It's more of a culinary experience than park commandoing these days.

Oh well, I'm not complaining.

At least I've got a friend to go with me now. biggrin

I have one friend who is probably borderline crazy but no where near my caliber. Luckily I have a few "internet" friends that I've made over the years who understand me Smile

That's another trick of Disney friends. Not only do they need to love it, they need to love lots of the same activities. I'd have a hard time going with someone who didn't want to at LEAST ride some of the rides, even though eating is often my primary objective. yay
