New Lost And Found System In Place At Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World has changed their procedures for the recovery of lost items while on property. The new system uses a cloud database for guests to register what items they have lost. Once the online form is filled out reporting the missing item, you guests will receive an email notification with your Lost Item claim number. Cast Members will look for your item and provide you with an email update within 48 hours.

You can find out a little more about how the system works at the links below.

LOVE this new system! Hopefully I'll never have to use it, but having lost my ID at Animal Kingdom once, this system would have given me a lot more piece of mind.

I left my Tables in Wonderland Card at Nomad's in April. I didn't realize it until the next day. I went to Lost and Found at the TTC to see if had been returned, no luck. When I saw this, I reported it via the link. I received an initial email letting me know it was received. A couple of follow up emails letting me know they stilled hadn't found it. Finally an email they were unable to locate it.

Ugh bummer! I forget, are you able to order a replacement card? Or are you SOL?

You can but there is a $50 replacement fee. It was a plastic card that I lost. I still had the paper one and used it but had to get a manager override when I explained my situation. I need to call and see if they will cancel the plastic one and reinstate the paper one.

Only the paper ones are issued at Guest Services. You can call and they will replace it with a plastic one. The cast members love them. Once you call, you only have a short window to use the paper one as they cancel it and reissue a new number for the plastic one.

**disclaimer** I don't know if they mail outside of the US

Interesting! We only have the paper as well and I'm always so nervous it's going to get destroyed on a water ride or something!
