2014 Princess Half Marathon Weekend Gets A Royal Up-Do!

Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World Resort has become one of the premier women's running events in the nation, and next year it's getting royal addition! Princesses will be able to challenge themselves even more with an Enchanted 10K and a two-race challenge to add a little more bling to your castle.

The Enchanted 10K opens up even more opportunities for runners of different skill levels to run through Disney theme parks and receive a specially-designed finisher medal. For those looking to complete an even bigger challenge, sign up for the Enchanted 10K on Saturday and the Half Marathon on Sunday to run a total of 19.3 miles! It's the inaugural Disney Glass Slipper Challenge and finishers will earn a special challenge medal to go along with medals from each individual race.

The Princess Half Marathon Weekend, is on the schedule runDisney schedule for Feb. 20-23, 2014. The fun filled weekend includes a health and fitness expo geared towards women, kids races, a family fun run 5K, as well as featured races. Get ready to sparkle because registration for this event opens up on June 11 at www.runDisney.com.

For girls who want to be rolling in the pink in 2014 runDisney has created a special edition Coast-to-Coast Race Challenge Medal for runners participating in the 2014 Tinker Bell Half Marathon at Disneyland in January and the 2014 Princess Half Marathon five weeks later at Walt Disney World! Finishers of both these races will receive the coveted medal featuring the likeness of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse with a pink overlay and lanyard.

A limited number of runners will have the opportunity to register for both
the Princess and Tinker Bell Half Marathon when Princess Half Marathon registration opens June 11th. Those not securing an early registration for the Tinker Bell Half Marathon will have a second chance when on-line registration officially opens on July 9.
