5 Reasons To Love Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa

There are so many reasons to love Walt Disney World's Flagship Resort Hotel it's difficult to narrow our choices down to just five! This Victorian styled beauty sitting on the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon dominates the landscape with sparkling white elegance and a charming red roof reminiscent of the Hotel del Coronado. Disney says this is the creme de la creme of its resort hotels and who are we to disagree? We took a look at all of the wonderful things the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa has going on and these are definitely our favorites.

Signature Dining - Citricos, Narcoossee's, and the five star Victoria and Albert's put cuisine at the forefront of top reasons we love the Grand Floridian. These aren't just restaurants, but beautiful fine dining experiences. If you're looking for someplace to share a special meal with close friends or have a romantic night out with the one you love, you need look no further than the signature dining of the Grand Floridian.

Fireworks View - A stunning view of Cinderella Castle after dark is one of the great treats of the Grand Floridian, and that means that you can see Wishes from several places on property. Grab a spot on the beach, or watch from the deck after dining at Narcossee's, but we're fond of watching Wishes from the Marina near the Gasparilla Island Grill.

Senses Spa - Disney's Grand Floridian is the best place on property to pamper yourself with some relaxing treats, and Disney's Senses Spa is a wonderful place to start. Take some time to yourself for a facial, manicure, or even a massage at this immersive retreat. There's noting quite as nice as a little spa time to help you recover from a heavy day of Park touring.

Feel like taking it a little more slowly? Water taxis leave every 10 minutes or so from the boat launch to get you to the park the old fashioned way.

As a special treat to ourselves for our 30th anniversary in 2003, we booked a 10 night stay at the Grand Floridian. My wife loved it so much that four of our six subsequent trips to WDW included stays at the Grand Floridian. The ambiance is unsurpassed, and just hanging out in the lobby or having a relaxing breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe makes for a wonderful escape from so much of the mad-dash experience often in play at WDW.

OH YES. I am spoiled now, after staying here the last three times it would be difficult to go anywhere else! The Musicians are now friends, they and Tammy at the bar are so much fun!

Can't wait to go back.

We walked through the Grand Floridian in April on our way to the boat rentals. What a beautiful resort! We hope to get to stay here (or one of the other deluxe resorts) during our next Disney vacation!

My favorite hotel in the world! We spent many yearly Disney trips at the GF. And recently living in Florida for several months, I took many trips over just to walk around, watch the electric boat parade, see the spectacular Easter egg display and the amazing Gingerbread house at Christmas time to name a few. Just walking up to the front of the hotel is spectacular!

When I got married, my wife and I just had to get our pictures done there. The style and decorations of the building are fantastic. We always stop by there just to look around. We can't wait to actually stay there someday.

Stayed there in 2008 for a short time. Beautiful resort! Will be returning for a week's stay with my best friend. We have a spa time scheduled and High Tea! Christmas holiday decorations at this resort are worth seeing. Cannot wait to have meals there and walk the grounds!
