With the help of some tried and true characters from previous Marvel movies; Black Widow (played by Scarlett Johansson) and Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson), Captain America (played by Chris Evans) must handle the threat of the new, frightening Soviet agent, the Winter Soldier (Played by Sebastian Stan). To help Captain America in this endeavor, Marvel introduces its next hero to the audience's in the role of the Falcon (who has found himself within the Avengers roster several times in the comic book universe), played by Anthony Mackie.

The overseas opening is already off to a great start, bringing in a dazzling $75.2 million internationally from 32 markets. That's up 88% from the international release of the original Captain America film. Those of us here in the United States only have a couple more days to wait before we can see this summer blockbuster for ourselves and according to the Hollywood Reporter it's "not inconceivable that the movie's worldwide gross could approach $250 million by Sunday."
