Disney Animators’ ‘it’s a small world’ Collection of Dolls Launches at Disney Store

The beloved Disney Parks attraction 'it's a small world' has inspired a new line of collectible dolls just in time for the start of the holiday shopping season.

The Disney Animators' 'it's a small world' Collection recently launched at the Disney Store and features seven dolls inspired by the attraction, in addition to several plush toys and books.

The dolls in the collection include Kenya, India, Hawaii, Japan, England, Holland, and France. Each doll is dressed in a traditional costume and sings in 'it's a small world' in English and its native language.

The details on the dolls would make Mary Blair proud. The Kenya doll features a folk print satin dress with golden bracelets on her neck and white, yellow, and bronze tone beaded necklace. She sings 'it's a small world' in Swahili and English. The English doll is dressed in an authentic and detailed costume inspired by the English Beefeater, while the France doll is dressed in an authentic folk costume, complete with a pink satin can-can dress, petticoat, shoes, and a faux feathered headpiece.

And, to prevent 'it's a small world' from being stuck in consumers' heads forever, the dolls do come with an On/Off switch.

The 'it's a small world' collection also features four plush toys to accompany the dolls - a hippo, a poodle, a jaguar, and a panda - and three books including a storybook and CD set.

The collection can be found at Disney Store and DisneyStore.com. The dolls are priced at $29.95 and the plush toys are $19.95.

What a great idea! I love it! I had a collection of international dolls when I was a little girl and now I'll be able to get some for my two granddaughters. Also, this is something that can be a collection as well as a doll to play with.

Rorie - They didn't say. I think it will depend on how well this original release goes.

Sure wish they made at least one of the boys from Small World. Disappointing.

Does anyone know why they no longer sell the british doll? I tried to get one when they first came out, and it was backordered then cancelled.

I was wondering as well, will you still be able to order the Brittian doll. Also will you be adding more dolls to the collection for people to purchase?

Hi Emma and Melinda!

We're a fan run website, so I'm afraid I don't have any information on the restocking of the British Dolls.
