If you're the go-to Disney vacation planning expert in your family the Disney Parks Moms Panel might be for you. Applications for the 2017 Moms Panel (which is actually for more than just moms) are now open.

Disney is looking for "seasoned Disney vacationers with diverse backgrounds" to answer questions in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. Applications close on September 14 at 12 p.m. ET.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge recently welcomed a group of red lechwe, a subspecies named for the reddish-brown color of their coats. And, Disney's Animal Kingdom has welcome two pink-backed pelican chicks.

The 2016-17 runDisney race season officially started over Labor Day Weekend with the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend. Other races this season include: Disneyland Paris Half Marathon, Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon, Super Heroes Half Marathon, Walt Disney World Marathon, Star Wars Half Marathon: The Light Side, Disney Princess Half Marathon, Star Wars Half Marathon: The Dark Side, and The Tinker Bell Half Marathon.

Princess Jasmine has been sporting a less-revealing costume at Disneyland and Walt Disney World theme parks. The new costume features long sleeves, a higher neckline, but no longer features a bare midriff.

And finally, Disney and the American Red Cross are helping kids learn how to create their own emergency supply kit through The Pillowcase Project. The program is taught to kids in 3rd through 5th grade in school, after-school programs, and summer camps and is sponsored by The Walt Disney Company.

Are you making plans to run in any of this year's runDisney races? What are your thoughts on the new costume for Princess Jasmine? Let us know in the comments.

Very interesting make-over for Princess Jasmine. I haven't decided what I think about it yet, but it is absolutely more culturally sensitive.
