The Walt Disney Company stopped issuing paper stock certificates to shareholders back in 2013, but the company has recently unveiled an all-new collectible shareholder certificate.
This new collectible certificate celebrates 90 years of The Walt Disney Company and is only available to current shareholders.
The stock certificates that used to be issued by the company featured a black-and-white image of Walt Disney surrounded by colorful images of iconic Disney characters, and they were a popular gift from parents and grandparents.
Disney's Chairman and CEO Bob Iger unveiled this all-new collectible shareholder certificate at the company's 2014 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. The certificate's design celebrates nine decades of Disney characters and includes images from Disney, ABC, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm.
Characters featured include Anna and Elsa, Tinker Bell, Mickey Mouse, Captain America, and R2-D2 and all are surrounding an image of Walt Disney.
Current Disney shareholders can purchase the shareholder certificate at DisneyStore.com/ShareholderCertificate.

Being in such a special group i would think they would just issue these to share holders for nothing. I apologize to everyone for being a scrooge, but i think it's just absurd how they're charging for every single little thing anymore. 50 bucks really?

I was excited at first because I thought it was a new stock certificate, but then I realized it was just a certificate stating I was a share holder. I would have to pay 50.00 to have another piece of paper to put up next to the piece of paper I already have?!? I am not sure I will buy it, but if you are one of those people that missed out on getting a paper certificate in the first place I could see where it would be fun to have.

Julie & Maria - Shareholders own stock in the Walt Disney Company, to be qualify for a certificate you would need to buy shares through whatever financial company you use to invest. If you just want one share, give this place a try https://www.oneshare.com/stock/disney

Hi:
I received in the mail a card to purchase The Walt Disney company picture. We do not have stock with you but are members of the vacation club. I was originally told we could purchase the picture, or more then one. My son tells me the email I sent him implies that we have to have stock with you. Is that correct? We do not want stock but would like to purchase the picture. Can we?
