The Enchanted Tiki Room Will Reopen This Summer

Disney recently announced that its Magic Kingdom attraction, the Enchanted Tiki Room, will reopen sometime this summer after a facelift. Shut down in January due to a fire, the latest version of this classic is said to be "reminiscent of the original show" called Tropical Serenade.

This will be at least the second revamping of the attraction. In 1998, the show added "Now Under New Management" to its name and included appearances by Iago from "Aladdin" and Zuzu from "The Lion King."

We'll keep you posted on specific dates for this fan favorite's reopening as we get them.

I never knew the original show, but the current is a sentimental favorite of mine. I force Joe to go with me every time, and I (quietly) sing along. I know, I'm kook. But I wonder if I will like the new version as much!

I agree that the original was much better. Excited to see what they come up with, we will be there this fall. The newer version scared the heck out of my little one!

I didn't see this last year but have it on my list for this year. I don't remember if I saw it when I went as a kid.
