Favorite Quick Service Restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort

There's no shortage of quick service restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort, but some are better (way better) than others. Everyone has their favorite, must-go-here quick service spot and today we're going to look at a few of our favorites.

What is your favorite quick service restaurant at Disney World? What is your favorite quick service restaurant at Disney World?

At first this was going to be a "top 10" list of quick service restaurants but it seemed like a better idea to pick one standout quick service spot from each theme park and go from there.

But of course, it's hard to pick JUST ONE so two theme parks have a tie in the "best quick service" category. As always, if you have a different favorite spot please let us know about it in the comments!

Let's eat.

When visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom there is always something good to eat. We're fans of the Harambe Market but the menus might not be the best for a super picky eater in the group. Our favorite go-to spot at Animal Kingdom has always been Flame Tree Barbecue. Sure, we love Restaurantosaurus but Flame Tree is tops in our book.

The portions are quite big so it's often a shared meal when we dine at Flame Tree, especially since it's also SO HOT at the park. Our current favorite is the BBQ chicken-rib-pulled pork sampler plate because you get a bit of everything delicious from the restaurant. Also, you just can't beat the outdoor seating area here.

Over at Disney's Hollywood Studios it's all about Star Wars and if you want some out-of-this-galaxy Star Wars-inspired food (who doesn't?) you need to stop at the Backlot Express. This counter service spot has always been a favorite but now that you can order chicken and waffles, Star Wars-style, it's a must-eat-here destination.

You'll also find theme park staples like hot dogs and burgers on the menu, in addition to a nice salad. But you just can't go wrong with a Darth Vader waffle followed by a Darth Vader cupcake.

When we need a quick bite at Epcot there are two spots that are tied for our favorites. The first, Yorkshire County Fish Shop in the United Kingdom pavilion, has the best fish and chips at Disney World (in our humble opinion). There is almost always a line here, so either get there early or be prepared to stand in line for some delicious

While standing in line you might look around and think "where am I going to sit to enjoy my food?" Don't worry, there are spots to sit to the right of the restaurant and even behind the Rose and Crown. There are also (usually) a few tables in front of the pub entrance at Rose and Crown. Grab your fish and chips and some vinegar and tartar sauce and enjoy!

If you aren't completely full after your Yorkshire fish and chips meal we suggest heading to our other favorite spot, Les Halles Boulangerie in the France pavilion. It's a great place to find a decadent dessert (chocolate mousse is our favorite).

Les Halles is also a great spot to find meal-worthy items including sandwiches, salads, and a lovely cheese plate paired with a fresh baguette. That is our must-have item every time we're at Epcot. The line might look long here but it moves quickly so take a few minutes to ooh and ahh over the items in the case and find something delicious.

At the Magic Kingdom it used to be Casey's Corner was a must-visit spot. And while we still love it there (even without the hot cheese) we have two other favorites. First, Be Our Guest. Breakfast here is OK (been there, done that) but lunch is a must.

This is a quick service spot (at breakfast and lunch only) that feels a bit more thanks to the atmosphere (the ballroom and the West Wing!) and the real silverware and plates. No plastic forks here my friends. The food is really good too.

Our favorite is Carved Prime Chuck Roast Beef Sandwich with the Master's Cupcake for dessert. You really can't go wrong with lunch here. Just remember this is one quick service spot where you'll need to make an Advance Dining Reservation.

Our other top choice at the Magic Kingdom would be Columbia Harbour House. This spot is home to delicious food and some of our favorite spots to sit in all of the Magic Kingdom. The food here is consistently delicious (the fish and chicken combo plate is a favorite) and it's a wonderful place to escape the Liberty Square and Fantasyland crowds.

We love finding a quiet spot upstairs - yes it really IS possible - and enjoying our meal. If you can get a spot by the window it's a lot of fun to people watch while you eat.

I still enjoy going to the Backlot Express, but the menu changes have been a disappointment to me. I would love it if they brought back the gyros!

PS - if I'm interested in an adult drink, the bar is just right next door (literally).
