New Fantasyland Celebrates One Year Anniversary at the Magic Kingdom

New Fantasyland, which was the largest expansion at the Magic Kingdom, celebrated its one year anniversary on December 6.

On its opening day last year there was an official dedication ceremony with Once Upon a Time star Ginnifer Goodwin, recording star Jordin Sparks, and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs.

The expansion included the addition of Storybook Circus, Be Our Guest Restaurant, Gaston's Tavern, Enchanted Tales with Belle, and Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid. New Fantasyland also added two new castles at the magic kingdom with Beast's Castle and Prince Eric's Castle now part of the landscape.

Earlier this fall Princess Fairytale Hall opened giving guests the chance to meet Cinderella, Rapunzel, and other royal friends each day.

The final piece of the expansion is the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train which is scheduled to open in the spring of 2014. This attraction will take guests on a journey through the story of Snow White as told by the seven dwarfs.

Was there a couple weeks ago, and the grass (that's probably fake) was being placed for the Mine Train Ride. Looked like it was finally coming together. Won't be long now till this journey is finally complete.

Discussed with a cast member last week, who states that the ride itself is complete, and that they are just applying the cosmetic touches and details that we all love. She stated that it is expected to open in January. Will be returning in May, so we are looking forward to the new ride!!!

Can an admin of this site please delete the gibberish content above? There are links in it to who knows what and it may be some phishing scheme; least of all, it's spam. Thanks
