Walt Disney World Testing Mickey's Voice

After all these years of silence when strolling through the park, it seems Mickey may have found his voice. There are reports coming out of the Magic Kingdom that the iconic mouse is greeting guests with words.

It looks like Disney is giving the speaking Mickey a test run over the next few weeks. While Mickey has spoken in the past at Disneyland in 2010 and the most recent D23 Expo, this will be the first trial of him vocally interacting with guests inside a WDW park.

Don't expect Mickey to be a chatterbox, though. Reports are also saying that he is usually quiet, choosing to "save his voice." However, he also choose to say a guest's name or answer questions.

There's no timeframe on when and where the mouse will speak when greeting guests, and there's also no set word on if or when Disney will decide to make Mickey's voice a permanent thing.

What do you think of this idea? And has any of our readers had the chance to actually hear Mickey speak?

Now I have a mission for next week. Gotta find the talking MOUSE! Will use my baby girl as bait to lure the quiet mouse into talking!

So fantastic! I'm not always the first to welcome changes in my traditional Disney, but I think that that this is going to be so cool.
