Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

I have a breakfast reservation at the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall for October. It will be my first time going, and I'm not sure what to expect. Has anyone done breakfast here? Is the food good? We won't have kids with us, and I wanted to eat someplace I hadn't been before.

I don't remember going for breakfast, but I have gone for dinner twice and the food was pretty good (it's what brought us back the second time). The first time we went it was great, but this summer when we went it was just good. So I think it really depends on what you order and stuff like that. The princesses there are awesome and it's one of my favorite character dinners (or breakfasts silly )

I went there on my nieces first trip. We loved it. The food was typical family style eggs, waffles and such along with a buffet with tons of fruit and baked goods. The best part was definitely the princesses! They're all there and they come around to each table to visit. If I remember correctly, when you first enter the restaurant, Belle is there to greet you and take a picture with you. My niece loved it, and actually so did my nephew who was only 2 at the time.

Yay! I'm excited to do a Princess Breakfast again! I just can't bring myself to spend two credits on the one at the Castle when I remember the food just being OK and feeling so rushed to get in and out.

Hrmmm... maybe I should wear a tiara too? My daughter has a couple I could borrow. laugh

I think the princesses would LOVE it if you wore a tiara! Go for it! Crown

Never had the character meal there but in the past it was my FAVORITE Epcot dinner. Loved the Scandinavian buffet and the quiet atmosphere.

Gotta think it would be great. The interior is beautiful!

We had breakfast there in May and thought the food was very good. They serve the typical scrambled eggs, cheesy potatoes, sausage, and bacon at your table. They also have a cold buffet with bagels, toast, preserves, fish cottage cheese, and fresh fruit. I thought it was pretty good and the character interaction did not feel rushed at all. We got to see Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Belle. They all spent time talking with our kids and danced around the room with them. I now want to try it for lunch or dinner.

Great choice! Did this when it was first offered way back in 2003 and my daughter loved it. My son not so much as he was 6 at the time and Aurora kissed him and left lipstick marks on his cheek. muchlove His sister teased him that Aurora was his girlfriend. laugh

The food was great though and in comparison, I really much prefer this one to CRT.

Kristen,
I was one of 2 adults having the Princess breakfast at the Akershus this past May and enjoyed it thoroughly. The food was good and hot with our waitress refulling our glasses BEFORE being asked! The variety of buffet foods was more than ample--I especially liked the baked goods--delicious.
The Princess Parade was done about every hour or so--it went twice while we were there. The Princesses were followed in the parade by all the little ones who were thoroughly enjoying themselves. The picture with Belle is included in the package.
What is especially nice about this meal is that no one else is allowed into that part of Epcot until 11:00am, so you will be able to roam about a bit with NO crowds. You can't go past where Akershus is, but you can go back to all the places you passed on the way there.
Enjoy!
