Archery Anyone?

Has anyone done this? Did anyone else even know about it? I just saw this today and thought it sounded like something my kids would have loved. Though they shoot recurve, not compound.

Archery Experience READY " AIM " ARCHERY! It takes a steady hand to land that bull's-eye at the Fort Wilderness Archery Experience. Archery Guides lead Guests through a short training session on how to hold a compound bow and release an arrow into a range target. DVC Members take 10% off (ages 6 and up). For reservations, call (407) WDW-PLAY (407-939-7529).

I've never heard of it but I might like to try. We did archery in high school gym class eons ago - it was a year when the 17-year cicadas were out, and the little buggers were hopping all over the archery field and flying all around us while we tried to shoot. Fun times! I sucked at it, but would not half mind trying it again now that I'm (much) older and have (a little) more patience. (And no cicadas.)

Cool! You can feel like you're "Merida". We had Archery during P.E. in middle school.

Many, many years ago when I was in Junior High School we did archery and I seem to remember that I was pretty good at it. I would definitely give it a try!

I've known about that for years. It's right next to the Fantasia pistol range.

I'd do this in a heart beat Smile. I love archery. Its on my many things to purchase at somepoint in life to get a nice recurve bow.

Well first off I had to read that twice to realize you were saying ARCHERY and not ANARCHY...LOL

My experience with archery was in middle school when we did it in gym class and I some how managed to when I shot it...I got the feather on the end of the arrow stuck in my finger...that wasn't very fun

That sounds like so much fun! I loved archery in the Boy Scouts! I remember setting a record at summer camp one year. It's one of my favorite things to do outdoors, but I rarely get to do it. I'd love to do it with my family at Disney.

Hi kids, bringing this one back from 2013!

Has anyone since then done this? I think it would be fun and I am looking for something to do on check in day.
