My first attempt at a Spreadsheet for my OCT/NOV TRIP!

I cannot stop dreaming about my WDW trip with the wife later this year!!! I decided that for this trip, I prefer to be more prepared and informed than I was last year. We didn't have much energy to devote to any pre-planning for 2012 as we were coordinating our wedding/reception and working very hard to pay for it all Smile.

I've done a lot more research this time around, so naturally a spreadsheet is a great way for me to organize my thoughts and form a loose game plan. I WON'T be planning our days down to the minute, but a rough guideline of where we should be and why seemed important. Clearly I have PLENTY of time to tweak and perfect this, but aside from booking ADR's (which I haven't), I feel like the meat and potatoes are basically here. Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts?

*I'd be willing to share this .xls file with anyone who would like a head start on their own custom grid. Just ask me!

Great spreadsheet!

I always have to have a spreadsheet for WDW, used as a quick glance guideline for us. It helps me keep my thoughts straight, and keep my sanity.

Great job! I used our spreadsheet a ton when we were there last October. I'm slightly OCD and having a plan comforts me Smile

That. Is. AWESOME!!!! I love it!!

If you are anything like me, your brain will not stop thinking about it and the things you can add! The crowd level info is great.

That's a great spreadsheet! The more I see of everyone else's, the more I want to add into my own!

Thanks guys! I am having a lot of fun making it so far! It is SO hard to be patient for our vacation. 4 months really seems like an eternity! Doing this helps a little bit.

yay

108 days for me. It seems so close. Once the countdown gets under 100 it FLIES! For me anyway. 108 days has me really excited! I started planning this trip last July! OK, so this trip will be my 40th bday, and I have been to WDW twice and DL once since I started planning this trip, I am a cheater. silly

And I am at 109 days. I will have to work on my spreadsheet to see if I can get it to look that good. Jeff and Carlsbaddrew have set the bar so HIGH. mickey

Great spreadsheet. I was telling a co-worker about my Disney planning. He laughed at me. I told him it helps keep my mind off of work while at home which he totally understood. Plus it's loads of fun.

Oh yes, my parents roll their eyes at me. They will be with us for my 40th trip, they have been twice. My Aunt will also be there, first timer to WDW but lives North of San Diego and usually has AP to DL. She thinks I am nuts to want her to spend a week at WDW, and really thinks I am nuts with my planning and shoe & purse recommendations. rolling She will be happy to have that spreadsheet when the times comes. I hope. mickey

She live in Encinitas. If we take 2 week trips to CA (where I am from, now I'm in Atlanta) we start in Sac and then rent a van and drive to my Aunts house, stopping for 2 or 3 days at DL of course.

Yes, isn't there a little airport in Carlsbad? For some reason it seems like she flies out of there to connect at LAX or something, sometimes. Maybe I am confused. BUt I LOVE LOVE LOVE the area!

Great spreadsheet! I also do a spreadsheet - not as colorful as yours - but it helps when we're at a park and wondering what time another park closes, etc. I'm a planner and always travel with a plastic folder which houses all our important info like ADRs, flight info, rental car, etc. Having that folder with me at all times helps to keep my anxiety level down......

Enjoy your planning!!!!!!!
