Just saw the news that Test Track is closing for several months for a refurb. I'm disappointed because it's been a few years since I've gone and I wanted to go on it next month!
Was this a must do ride for you?

We always did Test Track and will miss it this trip as well.
I intend to drown my sorrows via a new set of ears and a bunch of pins. And a Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich.

My son and husband usually ride test track but this trip they will have to ride the Living with Land ride with my daughter and me instead. It is not a big deal to us just gives us one more reason to go again in 2013. As if we needed a reason

Oh heck! I've been telling my nephew all about Test Track. I hope it will be re-opened by the time we get there in mid-October.

Last I heard they are redoing a lot of the ride. I'll have to see if I can find the article about all of the changes...

i read that they were changing it to a chevy theme and is supposed to be done sometime in september

I like Test Track but I won't be upset if I have to miss it. I'm all about eating and shopping when I'm at Epcot, I don't spend much time in Future World.

darn thats my favorite ride! hopefully the changes will be improvements and it wont turn into one of those "before they changed it..." rides!

We heard about the refurb after we got back from our last trip and i was kind of disappointed because we didn't get to ride it last trip. It should be back open by the time we go in November....just like someone else said....I hope they don't change it and kill it

We are going at the end of September and one member of my family was really looking forward to riding it! I hope it reopens in time!!

unfortunately i just read on another site that now they are saying it won't open until November which stink's, my son has been watching it on you tube , and that is all he wants to ride when we go in October

Aw crap....my nephew really wanted to ride it in October too. I don't know why they would close it over the busiest time of the year. That should be closed during value season!

I think the reason is they were changing sponsors? I could be wrong? But im pretty sure thats why

When I walked the queue in February I noticed that they had Pontiacs on display and since they are no more, they had to go. Disney has finally been upping the game on a number of worn rides and stories which for repeat offenders like myself is very good. It keeps things fresh for us on multiple visits.
While I love Soarin' I would love it more if they had a rotation of different experiences at random so you never knew what you would see. I would love to fly through Canada, the Midwest or New England if they would take us there!
Alas, my three kids are coming home from Orlando this weekend at the end of their spring semester so my hopes of crashing JeffC's vacation with Joe are not to come to pass. I really hope to get up there for the flower show at Epcot.

We love this one! DD was a little disappointed that it was closed, but she happily rode Mission Space instead. It will be fun to see what they change!
