Your thoughts on the Candlelight Processional

I've read a few TR's about the Candlelight Processional..but I have never really had a huge interest in it..probably because I usually don't go at Christmastime.
I just saw this years line up of narrators:
[ul][li]11/27 - 11/29: Isabella Rossellini[/li][li]11/30 - 12/02: John O'Hurley[/li][li]12/03 - 12/05: Steven Curtis Chapman[/li][li]12/06 - 12/08: Anika Noni Rose[/li][li]12/09 - 12/11: Andy Garcia[/li][li]12/12 - 12/13: Chita Rivera[/li][li]12/14- 12/17: Abigail Breslin[/li][li]12/18 - 12/20: Whoopi Goldberg[/li][li]12/21 - 12/23: Brian Dennehy[/li][li]12/24 - 12/26: Edward James Olmos[/li][li]12/27 - 12/30: Angela Bassett & Courtney B. Vance[/li][/ul]I thought this looked pretty impressive! I would love to see John O'Hurley or Whoopi Goldberg...has anyone ever been to this? Tell me all about it..and include pictures if you have 'em!

Bella If you have any chance of going to the Candlelight Processional TAKE IT it is well worth the investment of time that it will take. We went a few years ago and we loved it. We took advantage of the reserved seating offer when you get an ADR at select restaurants in Epcot and they give you vouchers for reserved seats, but you still have to get in line. Wife and I loved it so much that we "scored" another two seats for a performance four nights later and went again. I thought I had more photos but all I can find is one. If I can find more I will post them later. meanwhile here is the one I located.

I love the Candlelight Processional! I saw John O'Hurley a few years ago -- he was GREAT!! I used to sing in choirs in high school and we always did long Christmas music competitions, so it's really fun for me to go to the CP. Plus, it's the perfect way to start the holiday season Smile

I would suggest getting the CP dinner package somewhere though, so you get seating even if it's raining.

Where are the restaurants included in the dining package? Is it similar to the Fantasmic Dining Package..meaning you get special seating?

We've seen John O'Hurley and he's fun. If you can stop imagining that he's telling Elaine to do something ridiculous. (He was Mr. Peterman in Seinfeld)

I have to say I was only so-so on the Candlelight Processional. It was nice, but I felt like it was a little longer than I would have preferred. Maybe I'm just not that into choirs?

It is similar, but you also get special seating for Illuminations. I considered getting the package, but decided against it. Just didn't seem a good value for me since we already have reservations at Le Cellier (costs two TS credits instead of one for the package or about $60 per person, then you still have to wait in line) and it shouldn't be too crowded when we're there anyway. We will still see the Candlelight Processional and Illuminations.

I looked back and the narrators on the two dates that we attended were,
Marlee Matlin, who "signed" the entire show and was translated through an interpretor, and Brian Stokes Mitchell. Both were very very good. This show is VERY highly recomended. I could not find the other photos that I thought I had. Allears.net has quite a bit of info on the Processional including info on the restaurants and the seating "tiers" available and the seating times available.
I tried to link to it but computer illiterate me could not get it to come out right, it kept saying no such page existed when I was just looking at it. sarcastic
I just noticed that I was typing and posting at the same time as LIFL and he did post a link to the info. Thanks LIFL.

Yeah, allears is usually my go-to place but I didn't link there because they don't have the 2010 info up yet.

I'm really looking forward to this.

We always do the Candlelight Processional when we're at WDW during the holiday season. It's beautiful and really gets me in the holiday mood. Smile Thanks for the link LIFL!

Oh it sounds like so much fun!!
I'm not sure if I'll ever make it down during the holidays again (it seems like my Christmas is always packed full) but if I ever do I want to do this. The sad part if before I got married I was down there twice during the Christmas season and I never even considered it! Looks like I missed out.
