I have a 7 day park hopper pass for my trip this November. I'm thinking of upgrading to an annual pass while I'm there since I'm planning on returning in February 2014. Has anyone done this? How exactly does it work? Can I upgrade at the resort or do I have to go to a park?
I believe you have to go to guest relations or a ticket booth.

Yeah. Thats what you have to do. The one we went to was at DTD.

I'm trying to determine the timing of upgrading my pass. Should I upgrade before I hit the parks the first day? If I upgrade some time during the week, will the difference in price be between the total number of days purchased (7) or the number of days left on my existing pass?
If it's based on total days purchased and I don't upgrade until, let's say November 20, will the start of the pass be the 20th or the 16th when I first used my MYW pass?
I think your going to have to call guest services for that answer JoAnn.

I know the answer. It goes on the total you paid no matter what day you upgrade, it will also be dated from the date you first used the ticket. Ours was first used on the 5th October but we didn't upgrade till the 9th and they back dated it sadly

You're welcome, I only know as it was something I did last year I was kinda hoping they wouldn't backdate it but hey ho.... I had read that they would most likely so I wasn't too disappointed
