Are you interested in having a WDWFG Disney cruise and/or park meet up in 2015?

Hi All,

I know we're a WDW group but would any of you be interested in taking a Disney cruise together? Can we plan a park and/or cruise meet for 2015?
I'm thinking a 4 night or longer if its cruise only and for those that don't like being on the water we could do a quick meet n greet at the parks.
Who's interested?

I would be game. It would take me that long to save the money for both the cruise and time in WDW.

I don't have my travel schedule figured out that far in advance quite yet.

I think it would be a lot of fun. I can't promise I would be able to make it, but I would certainly try.

It's hard to think so far in advance but we are kinda planning on Orlando in 2015 as we are doing DL in 2014 and can imagine I will be feeling the pull by then Wink I wouldn't want to go in school holidays though, we avoid those like the plague!

Colonel most of us have some sort of plans for 2014. I figured 2015 would work for most people.

That's another reason, to help those that might need a longer time to save up

I'm thinking the cruise/parks in October. Usually its cheaper to cruise and its food and wine festival time as well.

If we were going this year on the Disney Dream, a 4 night cruise starts at
Totals are for two adults (includes taxes but not tips or transfers)

Inside cabins $1438-$1485
Ocean view $1493-$1597
Verandah $1613-$1981
Concierge $2725-$4757

3 nights 4 day PH + water parks and dining plan (1@sn,QS, and TS)
Standard room @ the Pop $1461
Garden view @ PORFQ $1711
Savannah view @ AKL $2508

Food for thought awesome biggrin
Dee

We're saving to go...and you should be able to count us in. We like the idea of a park meet-up...maybe a cruise...and really like the Food and Wine part of it! Mid-Oct to Mid-Nov works good...

If we meet in October, mid to late October would be better for me.

Were going to WDW in Oct 19-26 & we would be up for a meet up. We really don't do the cruises unless it's a "Wishes Cruise". biggrin

I like the interest...ok for shiggles let's say a park meet n greet from October 18-25, cruise October 25-29, then another possible meet october 29th-Nov 7th
The resort dates may qualify for free dining, and the cruise will be cheap because its during the school week/fall. Weather should be fine and the later week might see some Xmas decorations throughout the parks. There will be MNSSHP dates and the F & W fest during this time as well.
The Wishes cruise sounds cool. I'd be in for that too
Are you all more interested in a parks only meet up? I know I'm going to jump on a ship at least for a few days, so we can just do the parks if that is easier on the wallet.
I hope we can do this...I'd love to meet more of you in person and reconnect with those I have met awesome

I can say a park meet up would be easier for us to afford so more likely to be able to come Smile

It would be easier financially for me to do park only.

Dee, we have not tried a Disney Cruise. We did do a cruise to Burmuda once though and we both feel as though once was enough. I so wish I could say I loved it but I just did not care much for it. I would love to see one of the Disney ships but I do not want to sail on it. There is no one reason I did not care for it. It did not make me sick, the food was wonderful, there was plenty to do...yet I was bored. I guess it really just comes down to I would rather be in the parks or the resorts than on a ship.
I do think Mrhub enjoyed the cruise a bit more than I did.

For us we could do October if its later like when Hub is going. But no cruise for us as well. Too expensive.

Just a reminder, we're discussing 2015 so it's quite a bit in the future.

Opening weekend of Food & Wine Festival would be my (unofficial) preference. It's a very popular time of year for Disney websites to host meet ups and events, frequently referred to as "Epic October". Disney Food Blog often has events occurring between the 1st and 2nd weekend of October too.

I would love to book on the cruise too, but it's hard for me to say what my finances will be at that time. I could probably swing a 3 night without too much of a problem.

I'm not ruling out a cruise, but a parks-only meet-up would be more doable for us. Late October/early November is best simply because any earlier than that is usually still beastly hot IMO. And we do LOVE the Food and Wine Festival.

Didn't want to think I was ignoring you Dee. No never been on a Disney Cruise, but I think I would always be thinking " I wish I was in the parks right now" The ship wouldn't bother me, but I just don't have any urge to do it.

No worries Mr. Hub biggrin

So it looks like October 2015for a parks meet n greet. For those of us who'd like to cruise we can get together and try and pick dates.

Kristin K., I'm not opposed to a 3 night I just think they are really short.

Thanks everyone for all the input Smile you all are fantastic!
