Disney song needed, help!

I am making a DVD for my friend who lost his wife last week. It's pictures of them as a family in WDW so I would like disney music to set it to. I have the instrumental from Up but I need 1 more song. I did think of maybe when she loved me from toy story 2 but it's very sad Sad but oh, I dunno! Please help! Lol

This one would be sad for the circumstances as well, but I love "You'll be in my heart" by Phil Collins from Tarzan.

Honestly the first song I thought of after reading your initial post was James Taylor's Fire and Rain(?)......"But I always thought I'd see you again" that makes me cry anyways never mind under your circumstances.

I keep thinking of nonDisney songs.....

I really can't help, although I agree with "You'll be in my heart" but I think this is a lovely gesture for your friend's family!

The song that comes to my mind is "If I never knew you" from Pocahontas.
Under the circumstances it is a heartbreaking song, but beautiful and appropriate. Here is a sample of the lyrics if you aren't familiar with the song. The last lines of the song are:

"And if I never knew you
I'd have lived my whole life through
Empty as the sky
Never knowing why
Lost forever
If I never knew you."

That sounds perfect, I don't know the song but I'm going to go listen to it now.

He's just been telling me that he's using music from nemo in the service so not sure whether to include that? Or would that be too painful then as it would remind him of the funeral?

I need to finish it by Wednesday really as we are driving up there on Thursday, so a few days yet.

I hate to sound ungrateful, but if wasn't keen on that Pocahontas song Sad the words are so beautiful, I didn't like that tune though which is annoying, might have to have another listen tomorrow (it's 1:30am here and I'm starting to go a bit crazy with it all) it's been a hard evening for my friend and I'm feeling a bit drained xxx

What about "Once Upon a Dream?" It's a little bit peppier (I'm not sure which way you're going, if it's too perky) but the lyrics are beautiful and will remind the family that their loved one is always there with them. iTunes has a version sung by a congregation (Walt Disney's Greatest Hits) that's very nice and not so high pitched as the version in the cartoon.

Also, the Circle of Life keeps popping into my head, but that may be too literal to be appropriate.

I did think of the circle of life but thought the same as you did, might be a bit too lateral. I also thought of the song from the fox and the hound but I howled crying so discounted that too lol. I really like you'll be in my heart, once upon a dream would work too, it doesn't have to be too sad. The song from up gets sad by the end and that's going to be at the end of the DVD, there's a really cute pictures of them all walking away towards the castle holding hands that I'm going to use as the last picture. It's pretty much all done, it's just this darned song that I need to finish it lol.

Thanks so much everyone for your help, I really appreciate it x

Hmmm...How about You've Got a Friend In Me from the original Toy Story? Or Love from the animated Robin Hood movie? (short but sweet). Also, there are several great instrumental Disney songs from the parks if you want something that's a little more abstract (music from the parades, fireworks, attractions, etc).

I am about to cry just picturing the end of the DVD with them walking towards the castle sad I think it sounds like a nice ending though as sad as it is.
How are you all doing? Is your friend holding up ok?

Thank you for thinking of my friend. The funeral was on Friday and it went as well as can be expected. There were so many people there as she had touched so many lives. It was nice to see so many friends and talk about her and the times we shared.

I finished the DVD and my friend Matt was so touched, he shared it via YouTube to all his friends (I had uploaded it there to show my mum but on a hidden link)

If you would like to watch here it is...

Thank you very much for your kind comments. I can't watch the video without crying. I'm comforting my friend a lot which surprisingly comforts me, as it feels like I'm doing something positive for both him and Sue.

Robyn, you are a wonderful friend. I'm sure they will watch that video thousands of times over the coming years. Their son will see the joy and love in every photo, and carry that with him forever.

Seems to me you can't get anymore Disney than "When You Wish Upon a Star" but I'm not sure its funeral-appropriate.

It's Beautiful. What a tribute. That little boy's smile is just precious. This is such a lovely way for him to remember his mother forever.

I know the video has been made and all is finished, but just to add to the discussion, Rainbow Connection could be good. I liked someones idea of You've Got a Friend in Me, and Best of Friends is good too, but I almost cry just listening to the song no matter the context.

Robyn that was a beautiful tribute to your friend. You did a spectacular job putting that DVD together and I know how difficult it was for you to do. Matt and Harry are lucky to call you and Sy their friends.
