Hello

Hello All,
My name is peggy. My husband and I are going back "Home" for Nov 29- Dec 9th. Jason calls it home because the sign says Welcome Home at the Hotel.

This will be our 4th trip in 4 years. We always stay at Port Orleans French Quarter because is so small and quiet. This year for the first time we are going to Universal and Seaworld to change it up a little.

We are also going to MVMCP for the first time,I hope. I am nervous because of Pop Warner week.

Nice meeting you all and look forward to getting help and offering some when I can.

Welcome Peggy!

Since you're staying at POFQ I don't think you'll have too much trouble from Pop Warner. Most of them stay together at the All Stars and that's where it can get overwhelming. They have their own things going on during the day and I really never had much trouble with them in the Parks at night.

Hi Peggy and welcome to WDWFG, so glad you found us and decided to join our group of Disneyholics. Like Kristen K said you shouldn't be bothered by Pop Warner as they usually at the All Stars, and are so well chaperoned. eek gaah laugh

I hear the football players are usually ok ,but the cheerleaders can get loud and bust out into cheers regardless to where they are and who is around. yay To tell you the truth I have heard the parents are the worse.

That's when they have the cheerleader competitions. It's the week after we are there in November.

"Each year, Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. hosts the Pop Warner Super Bowl and National Cheer and Dance Championships.

For the past eleven years, the event has taken place at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (tm) in Lake Buena Vista, FL during the first full week of December.

The Pop Warner Football Championships (referred to as the Pop Warner Super Bowl) are divided into teams competing in Division I and Division II. 64 football teams compete for National Championships in 4 different age/weight ranges (Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Jr. Midget & Midget).

In order to advance to the Pop Warner Super Bowl, a team must win its respective League Championship as well as the Regional Championship. Each advancing team is guarenteed to play two games at the Super Bowl, with a National Champion being crowned in each age-weight division and competition level.

The Cheer & Dance Championships feature over 300 cheer and dance squads who compete at a five-day long event. Competitions take place at the HP Field House at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (tm). Cheer & Dance Squads compete in 4 different age ranges (Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Jr. Midget & Midget), as well as three squad sizes (Small, Medium & Large) and four competition categories (PW1, PW2, PW3 & PW4).

then they are in the parks after the games. eek I have heard a lot of bad things through other sites, but I am going to brave it out like we did Love Bug season and see how it goes. We intentionally go to the parks when school is session for a reason laugh

If nothing else we know not to go on that week again.

I wonder if the Pop Warner groups will follow tour leaders with flags? Run over others to get first in line? Mob the walkways and set up an impromptu soccer game? laugh
