Just booked flights for September! Wooooooohoooooooo!

Well yes, I caved! We are still hoping for a bargain trip in May but we got a great deal with our flights, I don't think we have paid much more now than we would have paid waiting for a last min trip, plus we are also going for just under 3 weeks which we wouldn't be able to do, as last min flight deals are only on charter flights and not scheduled flights. So we are flying on the 11th September and coming back home on the 1st October Smile yay!! Let the planning commence Smile

So jealous. It's probably cheaper to fly from the U.K. than it it from Vancouver.

Just checked flights. Its 900 eachand 10 hours from take off to landing. Plus 160 in ferry fees to get to the mainland and aother 3-4 hours of travel to get to the airports. The flights that leave from the island require an overnight layover. I think we will be doing Disneyland for the next few trips

Hi Robyn, you may already know this, but if not I think you may benefit from it. We are UK too. We have an AMEX card and we get loyalty points from it. They can then be changed into virgin atlantic flying club points. In the past they have had amazing deals so I paid full price and my husband went free on points (both premium economy) on a companion flight. The deals don't seem so good at the moment but you do get a little bit of money off flights with the miles plus money fares. You also get a pass to go into the first class lounge with the gold card. You can also use the AMEX points to stay in Orlando hotels including Disney hotels. Of course to get a free night in a Disney hotel you need thousands of points which means you need to have spent thousands of pounds on the card but we put everything on the card and take AMEX up on lots of special offers so it soon mounts up and if you are planning to go to Disney year after year you may find that you can pay for all or part of your flight or hotel in points in a few years time. awesome

Sorry, I forgot to say that you do have to pay an annual fee for an AMEX, so you really have to use it to make paying the membership fee worthwhile. For us, it has been we have converted points and had at least 3 free premium economy flights to USA, two discounted flights and 2 free upgrades.
