They did not load for me either, FYI. I had to click on one of them and just cycle through photobucket. I usually see them in your post.

The photos aren't showing because the monthly bandwidth has been exceeded on the Photobucket account (for free accounts). If the account is a "plus" account (with a yearly fee) then the bandwidth limit is removed. This only affects photos that are linked out such as on a forum. Visiting the Photobucket site directly and viewing the photos in not affected by the bandwidth limits.

If you use Photobucket a lot and link out to forums, getting a "plus" account is worth it to avoid this problem.

Check out this link for details...

Ah dammit! I was warned that I was reaching the end Sad boo! It resets again on the 11th of the month.... I might have to look at the fee though Wink

Day 5

AK take 2.

Thankfully today the rain gods were sparing us! It was glorious sunshine again Laughing out loud

We hopped on the bus to AK and we were there shortly after rope drop.

First stop was Everest, we had a fastpass for this and I decided to brave it out with Jen - I love the ride but I HATE the backwards bit, it always makes me feel seriously sick. This time was no exception... Afterwards was the wonderful Nemo show Smile now for me, this ain't no Lion King but with it being shut this was a good compromise... in a big blue world.... come on you know the words Wink It was annoying that a guy next to us had his phone on and answered it when it rang... what was worse was the CM's who were having a full on conversation right behind us, I must have turned round 5 times and looked at them hoping they might get the hint but they kept chatting and laughing away... it was really annoying as it was so loud.

We then wandered over to Its Tough To Be A Bug, I love it but I always feel so sad for all the screaming children lol.

We then rode Dinosaur and both loved it Laughing out loud (ignore my face hahahahahaha)

It was then time for lunch at Yak and Yeti!

Jen grabbed a cocktail and I had a non alcoholic one.

Jen had the Tuna salad while I had bourbon chicken. We both LOVED our food.

We even decided on desserts, I had mango pie and Jen the wontons. She wasn't over keen but I as always loved the mango pie Laughing out loud

Lunch paid for (sadly without the TiW discount as they don't offer it here Sad ) and we made our way round the corner to Kali Rapids. We had a fastpass for this and on the way in we got my DAS card stamped with a return time for 30 minutes time so we were able to ride twice with not too long a wait in the middle sat down nearby.

Some random pics on my waterproof camera.

We then decided to call it a day and make our way back to the hotel for a dip in the pool and relax, though we stopped on the way for the last fastpass of the day...

Just as we came out after meeting Mickey and Minnie it was almost time for the parade so we stayed to watch it as it would be the last time seeing as it would be finished when I came back in October Sad

Once the parade had finished we headed out to the bus, luckily we had very little wait and we were back at the hotel, changed and in the pool!

After a dip in the pool we headed back to the room for a shower and to get ready for tonight. I had also arranged to meet my lovely friend Carrie in the hotel to swap goodies, she had been to walmart to buy me some honey mustard (we cant get it here) and I had brought some things over for her. We had a chat and walked out to the bus stop intending to chat some more while we waited for the bus but as it happens there was a bus there waiting for us so we said a quick goodbye and planned to meet tomorrow in Magic Kingdom for dinner.

A short bus ride later we were in Epcot ready for more round the world fun...

We headed straight for world showcase, starting in Mexico. Jen grabbed a tequila flight but sadly hated it, she drank them anyway though!

I had the best food at the China pavilion flower and garden booth. It was a chicken pancake, OMG I am salivating just thinking about it, it was that good!

We tried a few other things to eat (me) and drink (Jen).

We only stopped at one ride, that was Soarin'.

We came out of Soarin' just as Illuminations finished so we hot footed over to the monorail. We didn't want to go home yet so Magic Kingdom it was going to be!

We headed over to Fantasyland as it was getting late, I dunno about anyone else but I usually find it a bit quieter in the evenings once the kids have all gone back to the hotel for bed Wink We managed to ride It's a small world, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh all while Wishes was on, we walked on to them all!

Afterwards we decided to call it a day as we were pretty shattered now and so we headed out to wait for the bus. Sadly we had the longest wait ever and a huge queue built up while we were there. It was also pretty darn cold so we were starting to freeze Sad One did come after about 25 mins though and we were soon back at the resort and in bed.

Tomorrow MK!

Day 6

MK!

Woke up knackered still from the rather mental day and night before. We were planning on hitting MK and spending all day and evening there but we decided to take a lazy morning and mooch around the hotel for a bit instead. Jen fancied a swim and I being the lazy cow I am, decided to lay in bed instead LOL. In fact Jen went for her swim and came back, and I was still lying in bed... We got dressed and hopped on a bus to MK.

We first went to the Tiki Room followed by Pirates. We stopped on the way for a photopass pic

It was then time for our lunchtime fastpass at Be our Guest (1:20pm). We were shown in and made our order at the counter.

I had the turkey and Jenny had the kids pork. I'm not a huge turkey fan as it can be a bit dry but this was AMAZING. I would definitely have it again no problems. I got a tropical fruit cream puff and Jenny got a strawberry cupcake.

My fries were cold though (they were cold last time too) so I asked for new hot ones, there seemed to be a bit of confusion and she said I would need to pay for them, Jen said surely not if they are cold and the lady went away again. I wasn't exactly sure if she was getting some more or not. The manager was making her way round all the tables asking how things were and I said about the fries and that I wasn't sure if I was getting fresh ones or not so she went to get some... and then about 2 minutes later some more turned up. So I ended up with 3 portions of fries hehehe whoops. I obviously didn't eat them all... I left the cold ones Wink Jen loved her pork as well so it was a hit all around. We took a few pics inside and then started to make our way outside to find a spot for the parade.

I was in the scooter today as it was going to be a long day so we were going to find the disabled viewing area in liberty square, unfortunately just as we were walking out I felt decidedly unwell (damn those 2 portions of fries!!) and I had to run back inside to use the bathroom. Once I started to feel better we headed over to watch the parade, but sadly cause we were late we had to watch from the back behind people who were stood up so I couldn't really see all that much. The parade looked amazing from what I could see and I was *soooooo* sad that this was the only time I was gonna get to see it before we left.

My view...

When the parade had finished we made our way over to ride Ariel Smile both being huge Little Mermaid fans this was a highlight for us Laughing out loud

Afterwards it was getting on time to meet my friend Carrie Laughing out loud so off we went to meet her at the front of the park. We found Carrie leaning on a trashcan, we joked that where else in the world would you actually be able to lean on a trashcan without being totally grossed out, but Disney! We headed up to ride the railroad and went on a full circuit of the park.

We then had a meet and greet with the main man himself, Mickey! Carried unfortunately didn't have one as fastpasses hadn't opened up yet for AP holders but we asked nicely if she could join us and they said no problem Smile I guess they took pity on us as she wouldn't be taking up any extra time, we either met him with 2 or 3 in our party - so not like she would be taking up a seat on a ride. Either way, we were very grateful!

Mickey was feeling very talkative today Smile though he did make us do an awful pose for the camera...

I do not like this picture haha

Afterwards we decided to walk through to Tomorrowland and ride TTA, Monsters inc and Buzz.

(I won LOL)

We had arranged to meet up with Jackie for dinner so we headed over to the Plaza and arranged to meet her there. We managed to grab a table nearby just as she found us, so off i went to check us in and grab a buzzer. We perused the menu while we sat and had pretty much all decided what we wanted to eat by the time our buzzer went off and we were sent inside.

Our server was great and we all had a fab meal. I didn't fancy anything too big after my lunchtime incident, so I ordered the kids meal of chicken fingers however they could only give me an adult version so I didn't eat it all, ah well!

We had such a great time chatting it felt like after almost no time at all our meals were paid for and we were back outside saying goodbye to Carrie. She had to leave to pick up her husband from work so we had big hugs outside and said goodbye till October.

With Jackie, we wandered round to the jungle cruise. This is so much fun in the dark! The jokes don't get any better but it definitely feels a bit scarier! We then went to ride a new one for me, at least for WDW (have been on it in DLP). Flying carpets Smile

We then made our way to BTMRR. While we were on it the fireworks started, something I haven't ever done before Smile

When we got off we watched the last of the fireworks from where we were. We then made our way to liberty square to get a spot for the parade Smile

Once the parade was over we sat for a few minutes chatting and letting the crowds disperse, we had time for 1 last ride before the park closed but we couldn't decide which, but we did eventually decide on Mickey's Philharmagic Smile

It was then time to make our way out to the bus Sad we did turn to say a sad goodbye to the castle on the way Sad

We said goodbye to Jackie outside and went to wait for aaaaaaages for our bus. We were pretty cod, tired and sad by now so it wasn't doing anything for our mood taking so long... It did come in the end though and we were soon back at the hotel and in bed by midnight.

Tomorrow, a sad farewell.

Day 7

Hometime Sad

We were up about 9am today, the plan had us packing and then heading to AK but we were SO tired we didn't really feel like hours of walking around so we decided to pack and then get the bus over to TL.

We packed up all of our things and called bell services to help us with our bags. We then went to wait for a bus. We waited, and waited, and waited. Apparently a bus had gone awol somewhere. Finally a bus arrived 45 mins after we got to the bus stop... GRRR! We were already going to be in a bit of a rush as we were heading to the airport later, so we REALLY could have done without that wait. Then it was what seemed like the longest bus journey ever to get there Sad But we did eventually get there. We headed to the changing rooms to change into our swimming gear and then found some loungers. Lounger found and stuff dumped we head to crush and gusher. We ride 2 of them before heading for a dip in the wave pool. After some fun in the waves we go to the lazy river for some relaxing fun.

We went round once and then decided we needed some food. I grabbed some chicken nuggets and Jen got some fish fingers, we found a table and sat eating them. We had kinda dried off by this point and we decided we didn't want to get wet again, plus we were worried about how long the bus trip was going to take back to AKL so we decided to make our way out. As luck would have it we only had to wait for a few mintues before a bus arrived for us and we were soon back at AKL with lots of time to spare. We still had on our swimming things so we used the pool at AKL for a while before getting showers and changing into our travel clothes Sad

Our Magical express was there to pick us up about 15 mins later than planned and we were some of the first to get on board, I didn't realise this would be a curse as we had a few other resort pick ups then, and we were already running later than planned :S I was starting to get a bit hot under the collar on the way to the airport when we started to hit traffic... When we did finally arrive we had 2 hours before out flight - we were supposed to be there 3 hours before, especially with the scooter as it takes a lot longer to check in.

We then head over to . Wow, that was an experience. The queue was horrific! The dreams of looking through duty free were slowly slipping away from us Sad

We did make it through in about half an hour though so it wasn't too bad. Once airside we grabbed something to eat, no Outback on this side unfortunately - counter service only. I grabbed a slice of pizza and Jen grabbed a Burger King. We both grabbed something else to take on the flight with us in preparation for the hideous plane food.

Our plane was on time and we were SO lucky in that we ended up with a set of 4 seats to the 2 of us! I let Jen use the 3 seats so she could sleep and I stayed in my 1 seat. She was being nice and babysitting over night as an emergency for her friend the day we got home so she needed all the sleep she could get.

We were soon changing planes in Dublin, we had the longest wait ever though when we were so tired. This part just put me off even more of indirect flights. We grabbed a seat in a window with the sun shining on us, it was almost like still being in Florida*

*not really

Eventually it was time to board our last flight and head home to London Gatwick. Sy was there to greet us once we were home - it was a teary reunion! We dropped Jen home and then stopped to say hello to my parents, we didn't stay long though as I was struggling to keep my eyes open.

When we did get home I arrived to these beauties.

I think I might have been missed LOL and not just by Simon...

Yes I did get in bed when I got home for a little nap haha

Highs, Lows and final thoughts

Highs

The first one has to be the amazing places we stayed, I loved them all! I had friends who stayed in the Boardwalk before and hated it so it kinda put me off but I loved it and would definitely stay there again. Beach Club was amazing, so different staying there in DVC than our stay in the normal hotel room!

The weather, we only had 1 day of rain, the rest of the time it was lovely and warm in the daytime, chilly in the evenings though.

The Flower and Garden Festival, loved the pretty flowers and the booths.

Meeting Jackie, we have spoken before but only knew each other online so it was lovely to meet her Smile I hope we can meet up again either in Florida or in the UK Smile

Meeting Vettelover and his wife Michele. I had such a great time chatting with them that afternoon.

The new MK parade, it was gorgeous!

Lots of yummy food Smile

Lows

Jen being a bit unpredictable and going missing one night. I love Jen to bits but I do know what she's like so I probably shouldn't be too surprised Wink

Disney Buses, I hated them before and I hate them even more now LOL. Car hire all the way for me from now on!

Getting very burnt on the first day, I was so cross at myself as I'm usually so careful.

My health not being 100%, I can't really help that but it does get in the way sometimes as much as I try not to let it.

Flying indirect, I wasn't a fan. I might be tempted to do it again if there was huge savings to be made but the rush and the worry that we were going to miss our flight on the way out really upset my stomach, and the waiting around when we were shattered was a pain on the way home.

Final thoughts.

While I had a great time, a week was too short to go all that way. So I'm not sure how quickly I would do a week again, unless we could get a cheap last minute deal.

I don't think I would go again without Sy, if I did I could only imagine going with my mum. I missed him like crazy, but not only that but I missed sharing things with him like we usually do, it was certainly a different holiday. When I went with Jen in 2008 I came home feeling like I'd 'done' Orlando and wasn't in any hurry to return. Then Sy wanted to go for our honeymoon and so I went back and found a whole new love for it there, a piece of that love was missing on this trip.

After staying in BCV I am now thinking if we decide to buy more DVC points in the future, these will be the points that we buy Laughing out loud I was really bowled over by it, I loved the little cut through to Epcot and the room decor.

The End

Thank you so much for reading my report, I hope you enjoyed my ramblings! We will be back in October with all the family for a big blow out trip to celebrate my 30th, my parents and MIL's 60th and Sy and I will be renewing our vows in Disney Laughing out loud The Pre-Trip has started and as of today, 150 days to go! Laughing out loud

Great report! I don't think I'd want to go with anyone other than DH either. After all these years, we have a "rhythm" that makes travelling so much easier (except for his snoring - that's a "rhythm" I could do without! biggrin ).

BCV is amazing isn't it?! We are even considering selling one of our AKL contracts for BCV... Time will tell.

That's exactly it! You hit the nail on the head there, we totally get each other's rhythm which I didn't get with Jenny and I'm not sure I'd get with anyone else bar my mum. (And yes, that snoring rhythm does my head in too!!!)

I understand what you mean about not going without Sy again. I couldn't imagine going without Erik. He actually flies out tomorrow til Sunday for a training course ( he'll only be a couple miles from Disney but has no time to go). I'm pouting already that he's gone for 4 days, I couldn't imagine a week Shock

I don't think I would go again without Sy, if I did I could only imagine going with my mum. I missed him like crazy, but not only that but I missed sharing things with him like we usually do, it was certainly a different holiday.

I agree with this 100%! I love my DH but I also really like him, he's genuinely my best friend. WDW wouldn't have the same joy and magic for me w/o my hubby.

Well done, Robyn!! Just reading your report made me feel as if I'd been there, too!

Great report Robyn! Looking forward to Octobers report and possibly a meet up since we will be there too awesome

Ahhh I hope we can meet up too Laughing out loud Sy has to go away with work sometimes and I'm ok at home without him, but I really felt I missed sharing things with him while I was away. xxx

I really enjoy your reports. I am still amazed at how many details you remember. We just got back and already I have to really think about where we were and what we did each day.

I don't remember much till I look at the pics and it jogs my memory Wink I actually don't have a good memory really Shock
