MNSSHP fancy dress help please!

So for those who have read my TR will know that I have booked MNSSHP as a surprise for hubby's 30th. He is one for dressing up so no worries there, but he won't know that we're going until about a month before we go and I want to get some fancy dress ideas sorted, as I might have to make something. I have NO idea. I know that we will both want something a bit unusual, but we are both 'cuddly' (read fat lol) so can't go as a prince and princess, I'm sure people do but I would feel silly. We could do shrek and Fiona but I am allergic to face paints. The other thought was possibly sweeny Todd and mrs lovett, that could possibly work. But I would rather something a bit more 'Disney'. Plus it's got to be easy enough to get over there, as we're flying from the UK.

I'm not asking much am I? Lol

I completely understand about feeling to "cuddly" to be a princess. It's like who are we kidding? I haven't been shaped like Snow White since I was 19.

How "fancy" are you talking? I think that the King & Queen from Brave would make great adult costumes. Or how about Merlin & the Fairy Godmother?

Oh and I dont really mind how fancy, but I'm not all that great with a sewing machine so something easy would be best Smile

You could do something like this

Here's a website of someone who made her fairy Godmother costume without sewing
http://paintedmaypole.blogspot.ca/2007/10/costume-from-safety-pins-blanket-and.html

Check Etsy.com for more ideas. Even a google search for adult costumes turns up some great ideas. We once went monuments from around the world. I think I was a CN tower so I wore all grey and the observation deck and point were my hat and I made them out of paper/cardboard. You could be different disney rides.

Also you could go as the Red Queen and Mad Hatter! She is probably my favorite disney villan
