MrHub & Scrappy's Hot July 2013 Trip Report!

Anyway, today was a Magic Kingdom Day again so off we went.

Fast forward -

Its Diner time. We had ADR's for The Hoop Dee Doo Revue! Yes I got in the act again, my name was just yelled through out the night, so that even riding back to the resort, and the next day on the Monorail, and passing another car on the people mover, someone would yell " Hey, there's that guy Mark!"

I should have started Tweeting where I was through the rest of the trip to see if people could find me! But it finally slowed down. It was a great show, the meal is eehh! But your paying for the show really.

After Hoop Dee Doo, it was back to the resort for the night because we wanted to see the fireworks from or balcony.

Thursday started out as a Rope Drop Day! We had ADR's for Crystal Palace, but figured we would go around the park a little before our time. Adventure Land was not opened, so we strolled around getting some pictures. Even ended up getting "Photo Bombed" once.

Breakfast at Crystal Palace was delicious and is alway fun with Pooh and the gang coming around.

Thanks Poppet, rope drop was 8 am that day.

JoAnn, so many people were dressed in black and long pants and shirts, I started sweating just looking at them! It was crazy.

So after breakfast, we head off to the rides.

After Splash Mt we headed over and got on Big Thunder Mt, and we worked our way around the park to Tomorrowland.

We found push during our adventure through the park, and also his helpers. Oh yeah, and I had to stop and get a Nutello w/fruit waffle on the way by.

Jan, PUSH is hard to come by. You don't see him often. Kids get out of hand with him sometimes and try to knock him over. There is supposedly another one in AK, but I never saw it myself, just on the web..

Okay I'm jumping to Friday, our last day. We got picked for the Beta Test at BOG for the online lunch ordering. Here is a comment I put on the DFB about our experience.

I am glad yours worked out well. We were chosen for this on our July trip. I received an email while we were at WDW. I did everything online, chose our day & time, picked our meals and all, got a confirmation email everything was done right and got instructions were to go to pick up our rose, same place as you, next to Philharmagic. Got there, they couldn't find us in their system. They checked several different ways, couldn't find us. I showed them the emails I received, all in order. Confirmation # and all. Still couldn't find us. They had a second IPad there and told me to log into that, I logged in, brought up my info, it was all there, menu and all, but that IPad is not connected t the Disney system. They tried again, no go. So they gave me a card .

We were to go check-in at BOG and tell them we were doing the Beta Test. Did that they sent us into the restaurant and met a CM, told him we were doing the Beta test and he knew nothing about it, just told us to get in line. We did, which was the line to place your order, which we had done on line already. Got another CM and told her we were doing the beta test, she went and spoke with the first CM (rather harshly) and came back and apologized and explained to not place an order, just go threw the line to the check out register.

We went through the line to the register where there was a CM (couldn't really speak english very well), who we explained about being testers, and she knew nothing about it, she had us scan our Key to the Kingdom cards, nothing, so she made us pick our menu items again. We paid , she gave us a red rose and told us to sit and our meal would find us.

Well by this time we figured the test was a failure. Found a table, I went to get drinks and by the time I got back to the table, no more then 5 minutes, our meal was there.

Well the service was quick, but the food, well it seemed to have been sitting out under lights for quite a long time. We both had grilled sandwiches which were hardly even warm, the bread was super hard and it was still very greasy. We were able to eat about half and couldn't eat any more. The dessert was okay but nothing spectacular. All in all, we would rather go to Casey's or any other counter service restaurant, then go back to BOG if thats what the food will be like.

Sounds like things may have improved since our trip, but I still think it will be a while before we go back for lunch. Now the dinners, thats another story. Have been there 5 times for that and going back again in Oct & January.
