Pixie dust wont help today!

The Rainbow Bridge
By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.

For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.

No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.

They romp through the grass, without even a care,
Until one day they start, and sniff at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back,
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.

For just at that instant, their eyes have met;
Together again, both person and pet.
So they run to each other, these friends from long past,
The time of their parting is over at last.

The sadness they felt while they were apart,
Has turned into joy once more in each heart.
They embrace with a love that will last forever,
And then, side-by-side, they cross over... together.

I am so sorry. I've enjoyed reading your posts about how he came into your lives, and his adventures, escapades and photos ever since. He was lucky he landed with you and Judy, and there must be a huge hole in your hearts right now.

I'm so sorry, MrHub. What a wonderful little dog your Mister was. I'm a cat person, but I wanted to steal him from you, he was so adorable. Him and Robyn's cat, Wilbur, I wanted them both to be mine. I hope they're playing together right now with some of the cats (and dogs, yes, we had dogs, too) that we've lost over the years.

Rest in peace, Mister, knowing how much joy and love and happiness you brought to your human family. And MrHub, try to remember the happy times with your beloved Mister.

Oh mrhub there are no words to express how sad this news is.

May the stars guide Mister to the bridge and when you look up into the sky tonight the star that shines the brightest will be letting you know that he is safe and travelling with friends old and new.

My sincere and heartfelt condolences on your great loss. I have loved knowing Mister. . . Sad

To Those I Love -

If I should ever leave you whom I love
To go along the silent way,
Grieve not,
Nor speak of me with tears,
But laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you there.

(I'd come - I'd come, could I but find a way!
But would not tears and grief be barriers?)
And when you hear a song
Or see a bird I loved,
Please do not let the thought of me be sad
For I am loving you just as I always have
You were so good to me!

There are so many things I wanted still to do

So many things to say to you
Remember that I did not fear
It was just leaving you that was so hard to face
We cannot see beyond
But this I know;
I love you so
'twas heaven here with you!

Oh I am so sorry for your loss. I loved reading about how Mister came into your life and loved the videos about his eye surgery. Words are never enough when one of your fur babies passes. A little piece of your heart goes with them. Sending you a big hug. He will never be forgotten. bighug

Our condolences to you and Judy. Very sad to hear this. Watching our beloved pets go through health issues hurts badly. But, Mister is in a better place now and free from all pain.

I'm sure you have many many great memories of him and those are what will last forever. And, how great is it that Mister will always be remembered by your forum name.

Thanks everyone. It's been a rough week. I went and picked up Misters ashes yesterday and that was pretty rough. But when I got home I cryed some happy tears. I wasn't expecting much I guess really, just his ashes in a cardboard box. When I brought the box inside, I opened it to find a nice cherry box with a brass lock, clasp and hinges. Made it a little easier.

Aww, that's so sweet, what a nice little box. I like the little lock on it too.
We have one of our dogs' ashes and they did come in a cardboard box, we placed that box in his treat jar for use as an "urn."
