Sunscreen every day?

Do you put on sunscreen every day in the parks? Just when you're going out for a long day? Or not at all? Don't tell my doctor, but I rarely put it on.

I never do..Dave always does. He'd be lobster red after twenty minutes if he didn't.

If I am at or close to sea level (like where I grew up) I dont need it...now that I am at 5500 feet above sea level..if I am out in the sun for more than 30 minutes or so I have to put it on.

Ugh. The GUILT! I have very fair skin and I SHOULD do this every day. I hate the sticky feeling that persists until I shower next.

Seriously, if they can make moisturizing body wash, can't they make body wash that will "infuse" your skin with sunscreen? C'mon SCIENTISTS!

Growing up, I was always taught how 'cool' tan skin was. My dad was a surfer and pretty much lived on the beach. Though he's of fair-skinned lineage, he is very tan - we're talking like East Indian skin tone. I was always fair and couldn't tan to save my life. Thankfully I came to see things differently somehow, even while I was still young. I stopped seeing 'tan' as beautiful. I begin to find healthy, youthful looking fair skin much more appealing. Good thing, since I'm perma-pale.

DW and I have gotten into the habit of wearing sunscreen every time we are going to be in the sun for any length of time. There are sunscreens out there that don't suck, believe it or not. There are sunscreens that really do last all day and that don't feel greasy and gross. Once you get in the habit it's not a big deal. Spray on sunscreen can be pretty handy when traveling, especially with kiddos.

admin - There is such a thing as bodywash with sunscreen. Here's an example.

I do every day, but that's primarily because I have to cover my (ever-expanding) bald spot.... yuck

I burn easily the first time, but then after that it's not so bad, so I kind of like to just get it over with. I don't think any doctor would agree with that approach though.
