Transport From WL To AKL.?

Hi folks...Am I right in saying this...We hope to get an ADR on October 23rd for our DS birthday at Jiko, but I noticed that AK closes at 5.00 PM that night...Hopefully our time will be around 8.00pm..Is the best way to get the boat from WL to MK and then get the bus at MK depot to AKL.?

I agree with Robyn, I would consider a taxi for that trip. I imagine you will spend 2-3 hours just on travel time for that reservation. Or...you could make your reservation for closer to 6:00 and then just go directly from Animal Kingdom when it closes and have a look around the resort while waiting for your reservation time.

Whit.. eek 2 to 3 hrs from WL via MK to AKL...I could walk it faster..It's 10 mins sail time..and 20 mins bus journey..In all our past five vacations to WDW, all in July, I've never had any serious wait times for buses..I must be lucky or the magic just follows me.. clapping

My 2-3 hour guess was for your round trip. I still think I would allow at least an hour each way. You may have to wait for the boat 10-15 minutes, the boat ride 10-15 minutes, walking from boat to bus 10 minutes, waiting for bus 10-15 minutes, bus trip 10-15 minutes. That easily could eat up an hour of your time. It took us 80 minutes using Disney transportation to go from the Poly to the Yachtsman Steakhouse. We took a taxi back which took about 8 minutes.

Your Majesty, I'm with you, I'd take the boat to MK and the bus to AKL instead of a taxi. But I also would definitely leave at least 1 1/2 hours for travel time before the reservation.

even though they are not as fun the bus to mk then bus to akl may actually be quicker than the boat, or even bus to epcot and bus to akl it takes about 40 min in perfect conditions
