What's That Smell...?...

Ok, I know there's been discussions in the past about air freshners at Disney for your car that smell of Turkey legs,etc..etc...But yesterday at my local German supermarket ( shopping mall ) I bought this Air Freshner..( see photo ) When I sprayed it i thought I was on " Soarin "...The strong fresh pine filled our ensuite, so much so, I asked my DW to come and close her eyes, and sprayed it once more..She agreed that it reminded her of " Soarin " ..( honest, i just asked where at Disney does this remind you of ) Have any of you come across anything that has a smell that you can make a connection with Disney.?..I once made an apple pie, but went over the top with cinanmon and when I took it out if my oven, it reminded me of Mickeys Philamagic... eek ...Anyway, tonight when I'am having a shower, I'am going to have the " Soarin " soundtrack on, and give my air Freshner a good blast..My DW says I'am losing it.. sad

no I totally didn't buy an air freshener just because Pete from DISunplugged podcast said it smelled like the orange groves on soarin... silly

Pop century scattered a mulch the years ago that really stank. Every time I smell Cyprus mulch in bulk now it reminds me of that. The smell outside of mouse gears is much like a water treatment plNt on my way to work. The smell from soarin for me is fruit loops.

Speaking of smells, I notice that almost all Disney World indoor attractions have the same smell. I don't know what it is, but to me it's just that Disney ride smell. Really noticeable on Spaceship Earth. It must be the materials that are used to construct the exhibits or something.

I can't say I've ever come across this smell anywhere else in my travels. The only time I notice it is when at Disney World.

It's not a bad smell at all, just unique.

Okay, I know I'm going to get some strange looks on this one for absolutely sure. (No judging, right?!) I am very fond of what I refer to as the "Happy Disney Potty Smell". (What? What?! Stop laughing, I'm serious!) It's a sweet, floral/bubble gum air freshener that is used in the bathrooms there and I run into it every now and again at home. I never know where or when I'll smell it but it always makes me smile - non-stinky bathrooms and a little reminder of Disney. muchlove

We found this Garnier cocoa butter hand lotion that smells like the area outside the lands building. I think they pump scent into the air there. It is so funny cause when my husband tried it, he couldn't get enough. He kept saying this smells like Disney. He made me close my eyes and it hit me. It is right at that spot where you either go to the lands or left to the Michael Jackson thing. Sometimes you can smell that smell on Main Street USA.

Gardenias always remind me of the Boardwalk.... And right before I went on my Disneymoon I got a facial and bought a face wash that I brought on vacation with me... Now it's the only face wash and lotion I use because it instantly brings me back to my happy place.

I love how smells can bring you back in time. It's one of my top favorite senses.

Along the lines of Becks I have a very odd scent memory for Disney. Mine is the smell of just turned on car air conditioning system early on a humid morning. It smells like monorail to me an always makes me smile. Yes - I'm nuts, but it instantly transports me.

Just one of the reasons Becks and I are BFFs - we "get" each other's weird Disney quirks.

LOL We are all a bit nuts! But that's why we continually love the uniqueness of Disney and keep looking for the reminders of it when we can't be there.
I buy H20 lotion here because it reminds me of my first couple trip with DH for our 25th. I love the smell anyway, but I just think Disney when I put it on!

Is it weird that when I smell old bandaids, I think of the Monorail?
