Your Recommendations for a character breakfast

Calling upon everyone's expertise & opinions again...

Just curious what you all think is a good character breakfast for me, my DH & my twin DDs- age 4. Though I've been to WDW three times, I've never done a character meal... seems like it'd be a neat experience for my girls.

Any recommendations on which one kids might like more than another? Also looking at breakfast because it's typically the meal my girls eat the most at lol trying to get the most bang for my buck lol

Hi Mindy
Which one you pick can depend on many things. The food for the most part is pretty much the same everywhere. The characters are what is different. Do they have a favorite? Also I find that the character meals in the resorts seem less rushed and more fun than those in the parks. Our favorite is Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club, or Crystal Place if you want to stay in a park. We have never been to any of the ones that feature the princesses though so I can not help you much with those.

Oh gosh..there are soo many great ones to choose from!

Like Scrappy said it really depends on the characters you want to see..
Chef Mickey's is practically a WDW institution..it's one of those places you have go at least once. We like to go for breakfast but there are open for dinner as well.
Princesses..well it's gotta be Cinderella's Royal Table (in the castle) however ADRs can be hard to come by and unless you're willing to go through a lot of work for it I would skip it and do Park Fare or Akerhsaus (in Epcot) both are fun princess breakfasts.
Pooh & friends are at Crystal Palace in MK..this is also another WDW favorite even though I've never done it.
Lilo, Stich and Mickey & some friends are at Ohana's..which might not be the best character interactions but the food is pretty great!

The quintessential ones are Chef Mickey's, Cinderella's Royal Table, and Crystal Palace, but you might be too late in the game to get those for breakfast/dinner.

1900 Park Fare is supposed to be great, too -- and there are princesses! I like Akershus in Norway as well (again, princesses if your twins are in that princess phase!)

Hi Mindy,
Welcome to the best forum I have discovered yet. Since this is a forum for 'grown ups' you probably won't get to much advice about what would be fun for kids, however we have been to Chef Mickey's numerous times and think it is great. The kids that we see there seem to be having a ball.
Enjoy,
Joe

Great pic, Joe!!! Chef Donald is my favorite character at that meal!

Only 36 days; I can't believe it!

Hollywood and Vine will be the easiest to get at this point, but isn't that exciting unless your kids love Handy Manny. The rest will be hard to get. Crystal Palace is my favorite because I love Pooh.

Also, I think Scrappy's point is important: The food is pretty much the same. Unless you go to Akershus (which has a few interesting items thrown in). I'm not sure how hard Akershus is to get on short notice though. Does anyone have experience?

I think Tusker House is a great character breakfast. The characters are in good costumes and the food is good too. Plus a nice wide area so it's not so crowded like some of the other places. Always a good pick. Not quite as popular as Crystal Palace/Chef Mickey's/Cinderella's Royal Table though I don't think.
