5 Reasons To Love Main Street U.S.A.

Main Street U.S.A is more then just the entrance to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, it's a land unto itself that offers shopping, dining, and entertainment options from the moment you set foot in Town Square. As guests move from beneath the train tracks and out into the Park they'll find a picturesque turn of the century town that keeps humming all day long. I had trouble narrowing it down to just a few, but here are 5 Reason To Love Main Street U.S.A.!

Meet Mickey Mouse At Town Square Theater

Stop in and have a chat with the big cheese himself. Main Street U.S.A.'s Town Square Theater is home to several character meet and greets, including one with Mickey Mouse! While Mickey no longer talks with guests, the photo op is still worth adding it to your itinerary. I like to start my day with Mickey and drop in here right after rope-drop when the lines are short even without a PastPass+.

The Citizens of Main Street

Main Street U.S.A. is a place in the Park that is full of life, and the Citizen's of Main Street walk their road with friendly charm. You may run into the Mayor campaigning for votes, a strolling barbershop quartet, women of the suffragette movement rallying for their cause, or even a trolley-full of citizens that break into song and dance. One never knows what fun is in store when walking right down the middle of Main Street U.S.A.

The Crystal Palace

A hearty buffet is waiting for you inside this Main Street U.S.A architectural icon. The Crystal Palace's stunning conservatory structure makes for a lovely spot to have a meal with Winnie the Pooh and Friends. This popular Table Service location is known to hold a special place in most Disney fans heart for its light filled rooms and beautiful castle view.

The Central Plaza View of Wishes

While you can see the Magic Kingdom Fireworks from many locations around the Park, the show is designed to best be viewed from the central plaza right in front of Cinderella Castle. While the crowds can be crushing depending on the season you visit, if you want the full, breathtaking, heartstring tugging Disney fireworks experience then this is the only place worth view Wishes.

The Piano Man at Casey's Corner

Casey's is a great spot to stop and enjoy a hot dog beneath umbrella covered tables, and the corn dogs nuggets are one of my favorite Disney snacks, but what I really love about Casey's Corner is the piano man. Jim the Piano Man has been happily tickling the ivories with ragtime tunes for as long as I can remember. I can recall his bright infectious smile from talking with him when I was a young girl at Disney, and I still love sitting on the corner enjoying his music. The Piano Man is one of the people who truly makes it a Magic Kingdom.

I *love* getting a haircut at the Main Street Barber Shop! The barbers have been there forever, have incredible stories to tell, and will put a colored Disney character in your hair (if you know to ask them). Truly a hidden Gem on Main Street!
