9 Tips For Date Night At The Magic Kingdom

Date night isn't just for the young, but the young at heart as well, and I can't think of a better place to spend a night with the one I love than Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. Some how the pressures of being a grown-up seem to melt away when you stand in front of that Castle and dare to dream. Here are 9 tips for a fantastic date night at the Magic Kingdom.

1. Set Your Priorities - I could easily lose two whole days wandering through the magic Kingdom. So if you're just headed into the Park for a few hours, make sure you know what your priorities are. Pick three rides and a show that you (or your sweetheart) do not want to miss, after that everything else if bonus fun!

2. Get Your Timing Straight - Disney Park hours have seasonal variations, and the Magic Kingdom occasionally closes early for special events. Be sure you know what the Park Hours are before you arrive and there will be no un-magical surprises on your night out.

3. Check the Weather - The Magic Kingdom will be in operation for all weather short of a major hurricane. None the less, it's more fun when you dress the part and don't get caught by surprise. At some times of year in Orlando rain is the daily norm, and after dark in the winter it can still get pretty brisk. I wouldn never suggest you stay home due to rain, but it's always smart to make sure you have the right gear.

4. Make Advance Dining Reservations - If you're hoping for a slow romantic dinner, the Magic Kingdom may not be the best place to find it. However - if you're looking for dining that is a step-up from counter service be sure to make reservations in advance. For a date night to make even the Fairy Godmother proud, start planning 180 days in advance for a seat at Cinderella's Royal Table on the second floor of the magnificent Cinderella Castle.

5. Coins In The Fountain - Be sure to stop by Cinderella Fountain, or the Cinderella's Wishing Well to toss in a lucky coin. You may wish to return, or for long time love; either way your coins will be collected by Disney and donated to a children's charity.

6. Use The MyDisneyExperience App - This easy to download app will make your Disney Parks experience even more magical. Through the app you can do things like checking wait times, show times, making FastPasses, finding where characters are, checking your PhotoPass images, and so much more! You'll never be lost with all the Disney information you can imagine right in the palm of your hand.

7. Make Some Fireworks - Or at least be sure to watch them. Few venues offer some of the best fireworks in the country all year round. Luckily the Magic Kingdom has you covered with a spectacular show to end your date night.

8. Take Home A Memory - At the end of the evening, take your time leaving the Magic Kingdom and do some souvenir shopping on your way out of the Park. Buy your sweetie a little something unexpected so that they can remember your magical night for years to come.

9. PhotoPass - It's always hard to try and get a picture of the both of you, unless of course you are at Disney. Be sure to stop when you see a PhotoPass Photographer so that you can capture the fun of your date night together.
