D23 Launches Referral Program and DVC Discount

Disney is continuing to find ways to try to make joining their D23 program worth your while. Their latest changes include a "refer a friend" program and a DVC membership discount.

DisZine is reporting that the D23 program will now offer the following additional benefits:

• Refer one (1) fan who becomes a new D23 Member, receive an exclusive collector pin created especially for the D23 Refer a Fan program
• Refer five (5) fans, receive an exclusive three-pin set featuring favorite Disney characters
• Refer 10 fans, receive a special tour of the Walt Disney Archives
• Refer 15 fans, receive a free, one-year Gold-level D23 Membership

While this offer is compelling, you only have until 2012 to take advantage of it. It is currently scheduled to expire on July 31, 2012. The program also only applies to new memberships, not referrals.

Disney has also announced that they will offer DVC members a discount. According to the article:

In addition to the new program, D23 is also offering a discount on memberships (either Gold or Silver Levels) for all Disney Vacation Club members. From now until September 30, 2010, DVC members will receive a 10% discount on new D23 memberships when they register at the D23 website with the code D23DVC.
