The Easter Bunny Arrives at the Magic Kingdom and Other Easter Events around Walt Disney World Resort

The Easter Bunny has arrived at the Magic Kingdom.

Mr. Bunny will be meeting and greeting guests in Town Square through April 20. He'll also make a pre-parade special appearance on April 19 and 20 with other spring characters and the Azalea Trail Maids.

And while meeting the Easter Bunny is "egg-citing," there are more events happening around the Walt Disney World Resort.

At Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the Third Annual Easter Egg Display is occurring through April 22. This display features edible, chocolate, hand-crafted Easter eggs created by Disney chefs.

The eggs each weigh in at about 9-12 pounds and the designs include classic Easter themes, spring-inspired eggs, and eggs that are inspired by Disney movies including Frozen, Cinderella, and Tangled.

Our friends at the Disney Food Blog have a great post up about the egg display with many gorgeous photos!

If you're staying at one of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels, be sure to check out the activity sheet for this week as many of the hotels have special Easter Sunday activities planned. Our friends at the Disney Hotels Fan website have a list of some of the special events planned for guests.

Guests visiting Epcot can take part in the Egg-stravaganza Easter Egg Hunts at the park through April 20. And guests at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin will be treated to a 'Peeptastic' Easter Celebration all week, including meeting the Easter Bunny and a holiday dinner buffet with Disney characters.

Also, for anyone at the Contemporary Resort on Thursday April 17th @ 11am, the bakery team will be doing their 2nd Annual Easter Egg Parade! The team will show off their chocolate eggs, parading them through the resort and the various restaurants. The parade will end in front of the Mary Blair mural on the 4th floor where the eggs will be on display until the 21st.
