Enoteca Castello in Epcot's Italy Pavilion

A couple weeks go, we talked about a great stop Epcot wine walk Les Vins de France, where you can find some classic French vintages. However France isn't the only famous wine growing country around World Showcase, and the Italy Pavilion's Enoteca Castello is home to some dazzling choices from Banfi distributors.

The Mariani family has spent three generations building Banfi Vintners into America's finest name in imported wines. Their partnership with Disney has brought some truly beautiful sips to park guests for years. in 2011 Banfi distributed wines represented the vast majority of sips offered from around the world at the Food & Wine Festival. No need to worry though if you're not visiting in the fall, you can taste some of these spectacular vintages any time of year.

One of the wines that you'll find at Enoteca Castello is the beautiful sparkling Italian Brachetto, Rosa Regale. Rosa is one of those wonderful Disney finds that has developed it's own cult following. With only a 7% alcohol content, Rosa is a light treat that can be enjoyed responsibly any time of day. The super fruity sweet taste is highlighted with raspberry and accentuated by it's fun bubbles. It's especially lovely when paired with dark chocolates, and is worth a stop at the Italy Pavilion just to try.

A Classic Italian ChiantiA Classic Italian Chianti
In addition to being the best place for a glass of Rosa, Enoteca is home to two beautiful new wines that Banfi designed exclusively for Disney Parks. These made their debut at the 2011 Food & Wine Festival, then were set to slowly make their way onto wine lists throughout Walt Disney World.

Crisp and Refreshing, Pinot GrigioCrisp and Refreshing, Pinot Grigio
The Sogno d'Ialia label is offering up a classic Chianti for their red wine with "a note of cherries and plums and a hint of spice." For those who prefer white wines, it's a crisp Pinot Grigio that Disney Parks Blog says "reminds us of pears and flowers." Tasting glasses of these two exclusive wines are $6 per glass at Enoteca Castello.

The Italy Pavilion has fantastic things for wine lovers happening right now with grand re-opening of Tutto Italia and the NEW Gusto Wine Bar! I for can't wait to get back down to Epcot and give it a try. If you're looking for some great wine to try while touring Epcot, Italy is absolutely the place to be. So stop by with friends and share some fantastic vintages in these great locations.

Can't wait to try the Italian Brachetto, Rosa Regale. If it is anything like the Piemonte Brachetto, or better known at the Disneyland Food and Wine Festival as Magicale, it will be GREAT!!!! Hopefully, Italy's Enoteca Castello will serve it year round and not just during the International Food and Wine Festival at WDW.

Hi Charlotte!

It is very similar to Magicale. I think that Magicale is a little darker, with more cherry notes to it with the sweetness almost of a dried fruit, while to me Rosa has more of a bright raspberry/rose notes. I love pairing Rosa with spicy Cajun and Creole foods!

They are both absolutely wonderful wines! Unlike Magicale, Rosa can be found at wine shops and in super markets across the country, so you can enjoy it at home as well! I think Disney has done a lot for the Brachetto as far as getting them introduce to the American public and enjoyed on a regular basis!
