Fun and Festive Holiday Cupcakes At Walt Disney World

I love cupcakes! And the Walt Disney World Resort has some of the most magnificent ones that I have ever tasted; like the Butterfinger Cupcake and the King Cupcake. You can even find specialty cupcakes at restaurants and bakeries all over property, and during the winter season some of them even take on a magical holiday flair.

This week Disney's Contemporary Resort Hotel debuted some truly fun and festive snacks to get your family into the spirit of the season. I'm a huge fan of the Five Legged Goat Krispy Treat, but what really rocks my world is the brand new Hidden Mickey Cupcake! On the outside, it appears to be your standard vanilla cupcake with some fun and decorative holiday-themed frosting. But hidden in the center - it's got a chocolate cake Mickey. Disney Food Blog has a great review and pictures of the Contemporary's Holiday Goodies. Sadly - the Hidden Mickey cupcake does not appear to be available to use as a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan.

If you're headed over to Disney's Hollywood Studios December 2 through January 5, there's going to be a spectacular new Gingerbread Cupcake with cream cheese frosting, red and green sprinkles, a little red bow and "elf cap." My mouth is watering just thinking about that beauty! Guests will be able to find the wintery holiday goodness available at the ABC Commissary, Pizza Planet, Backlot Express, Studio Catering Co., Starring Rolls Cafe, Rosie's All-American Cafe and Fairfax Fare. What could be the best part " this cupcake is on the Disney Dining Plan!

These two limited time cupcakes just scratch the surface of the Disney World Cupcake offerings. If you love cupcakes too - head on over to our friends at the Disney Food Blog read all about the Cupcake Crawl Challenge!

Does your sweet-tooth have what it takes to eat them all?
