Off Kilter: Rocked Up Celtic Music at Epcot

UPDATE 8/29/2014: As of September 27th, 2014 Off Kilter will no longer be performing at Epcot. You can find more information HERE.

Next time you're strolling around World Showcase and you start to hear the wail of the bagpipes, make your way to the Canada Pavilion for the high-energy sounds of Off Kilter. No, really... follow those bagpipes for what I think is some of the best live music in all of Walt Disney World!

This progressive Celtic band with punk bagpipes offers some traditional Celtic music with a rocked up twist. Coming together from around the world, the band is as culturally diverse the country itself. This mash up of music and culture may sound odd, but what happens on stage is pure Disney Magic. A fun, whimsical, presence with crazy antics and fantastic music, make this is one World Showcase tradition not to be missed!

Off Kilter plays some of my favorite traditional bar tunes like The Rovin' Dies Hard, Whiskey in the Jar, and Wild Rover, but there's nothing quite like their fast paced version of Danny Boy. Don't believe me? Have a listen to Off Kilter for yourself in this video clip from CelticMusicGuy.

Be sure to take home an Off Kilter CD or two with you as well! Off Kilter has released several CDs so that you can take their unique Celtic classics home with you. You can pick them up at the gift kiosks in front off Canada. If you can't find one, just tell the friendly cast member that you need your Off Kilter to take home. They can also be purchased on the band's website.

Have you stopped the stage in Canada to get a little Off Kilter? Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

I love these guys and they have been around FOREVER. We always make a point to see them when were at Disney. Them and Mulch!

Be forewarned... I am an Irish music lover who is VERY picky about what I listen to.

I think that Off Kilter is a little too "punk". In the space where we could use a regular traditional band we have even more rock. Sorry... Off my soapbox now.

A good (not-Canadian) band.

I wish they would play more Canadian content given their location in Epcot. Perhaps they should be forced to watch http://www.cbc.ca/doczone/episode/life-is-a-highway.html
