Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Officially Opens to Magic Kingdom Guests on May 28

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has an official opening date at the Magic Kingdom.

The final piece of the New Fantasyland expansion will open to guests on May 28.

The date was announced at a media event that featured a preview and official dedication of the new coaster.

"Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is both literally and figuratively the centerpiece of New Fantasyland, so we knew it had to be something special," Staggs said. "The attraction appeals to everyone in the family and provides just the right blend of heart, humor, and thrill while keeping with the charm of this special land."

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Dedication

The coaster is a family-style coaster that immerses guests into the world of the Seven Dwarfs and takes riders on a musical adventure into the mine.

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train features an innovative new ride system that allows the ride cars to pivot back and forth during the twists, hills, and drops in the ride. The midpoint of the ride takes guests into the mine and features scenes of the Dwarfs and forest creatures.

At the end of the ride guests will see the cottage of the Dwarfs, replicated to exact detail from the film, complete with Snow White dancing inside and visible through the window.
