Six Super Must-Have Snacks at the Magic Kingdom

A few weeks ago we talked about our favorite snacks at Epcot, which is our favorite spot to snack in all of Walt Disney World. But, I'll admit right here that the Magic Kingdom is home to several of my favorite snacks in all of Disney World. So today let's take a peek at my must-have snacks at the Magic Kingdom.

What are your must-have Magic Kingdom snacks? What are your must-have Magic Kingdom snacks?

6. Cinnamon Roll: While nothing will ever compare to the cinnamon roll at the old Main Street Bakery (pre-Starbucks) the "replacement" at Gaston's Tavern in Fantasyland is a pretty good substitute. Sure it lacks the huge amounts of ooey gooey frosting that you got at Main Street Bakery, but it's still good. I love heading back to Fantasyland in the morning to grab one for breakfast, and I've been known to stop here in the evening for a late night snack too. Be sure to bring a friend as the cinnamon roll is rather large, perfect for sharing! And if you're really looking for a sugar high pair it with LeFou's Brew. Trust me, it works.

5. Corn Dog Nuggets: Until very recently the corn dog nuggets were considered "just" a snack at Casey's Corner. Sure you could order a side of fries with your nuggets and create a meal but now they're on the menu WITH fries as a real meal! Be still my heart. Now if only they'd bring back the liquid cheese all would be right in the world. ;-) There's nothing better than ordering some corn dog nuggets (now with fries!!) and sitting outside Casey's, gazing at Cinderella Castle.

4. Mickey Rice Krispie Treat: Yes, these Mickey-shaped treats are available all over Walt Disney World Resort but I MUST eat my first one of any trip AT the Magic Kingdom. It's a thing with me. My favorite spot to get this must-have treat (with chocolate dipped ears of course) is the Main Street Confectionery. It's my favorite snack to eat as I walk down Main Street. I recommend getting more than one since they make a great breakfast (they ARE made out of cereal). And if you have leftover Disney Dining Plan snack credits, use them to purchase a few of these beauties to take home for that post-Disney hangover.

3. Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar: On any given Disney vacation I have to eat one of these frozen treats. It's pretty much a requirement on my snacking list. These ice cream treats are a quintessential Walt Disney World food and you'll find them at just about every ice cream novelty cart in the parks. And of course, eat the ears first.

2. Popcorn: As soon as you enter the Magic Kingdom you can smell the popcorn thanks to the cart located on the left side of Main Street (near City Hall). And whether you grab a box on your way into the park or if you wait to enjoy this salty snack during the nighttime parade, it's always a must-have snack. I rarely get popcorn at any of the other theme parks, but when I'm at the Magic Kingdom it's my favorite thing to grab before a parade. Give me an ice cold Coca-Cola and a box of popcorn and I'm set.

1. Dole Whip Float: As much as I love the other snacks on this delicious list, nothing compares to a Dole Whip Float. You'll find this iconic treat at Aloha Isle in Adventureland. My personal favorite has always been a Dole Whip float with the twist of vanilla and pineapple. Of course I also love just straight pineapple Dole Whip in the float too. Honestly, I'm really not picky when it comes to the Dole Whip float!

And there you have it - my personal favorites at the Magic Kingdom. Sure there hundreds of other snacks to eat at the park, but these are the few that I must eat every single time.
