Breakfast Reservations...Non Character..

Good Sunday Morning Everyone...Now I know that the character breakfasts at Disney are very popular ( never done one sad ) And to be honest, we're not huge breakfast people, however this year I fancy trying something at Whispering Canyon, especially as they serve cocktails, I love a Mimosa on xmas morning..So to my question..Surely you don't have to make an ADR for a non character breakfast at your resort.?..Or do you.?..In the past we just had a light breakfast at our resort food court..Any advice on this please..

It would depend on what time you are going. First opening you may not need an ADR but an hour or so after opening you might be in trouble. I know it's not easy getting into Kona without an ADR regardless of when you go.

Cheers Mr Hub..Yeh, we are early birds at Disney and I usually get up around 06.30 am..In fact on our last trip to PORS in 2012, I was filming us going in for breakfast at riverside food court..Not one person apart from the three of us at 7.00am..And that was in July..So I'll check out the Canyon breakfast area around 7.00 on our first week.. awesome

We have been lucky without making reservations, but it's just the 2 of us. If we know we are wanting to go for breakfast the next day, I'll usually make a last minute reservation, especially if we are headed to Kona Cafe or the Grand Floridian Cafe and it's a weekend. I think you'll be fine. mickey

I've never had a hard time getting a last minute breakfast reservation at Whispering Canyon in October but we usually are in for a 9 or 10 reservation. Depending on the day of the week walk up tables are usually available then as well. I'm not sure how the earlier time would be but it never hurts to check!

Sour rule is if we really wanna do we book it, that's why we have 19 adrs for a seven night trip on our honeymoon, for us it's all a matter of cutting down waiting. With our adrs you have to wait for the table and you might not get to eat when you want we like the structure adrs give us, plus we scout out means in advance so we have a rough idea of what we want so we can order ASAP.
