This is my favourite word of all time..Free...I've just been watching a video from a Disney CM about the free stuff that's available at the festival..There's food seminars and wine seminars, and also a free chocolate tasting at Ghiradelli booth..Sorry if this has been already posted..The video is posted on Debsallears.com. 
Last time I was there (2012) Ocean Spray was giving out free packages of dried cranberries. I love cranberries so that made me exceptionally happy.
We were just there and there was no Ghiradelli booth. Trust me, my DH was have gone there first!!!!! and then sent me, and then our friends. They do give free samples away all the time at the DTD store.

They do have a big Chocolate exhibit that gives out free chocolate samples!!! It's called "The Chocolate experience" and it is hosted by Ghiradelli. It's chocolate sculptures made by the WDW pastry chefs. It is located at the festival welcome center and you can see it from park open to close. The free samples are first come first serve though.
Annie, you are spot on..I didn't mean a booth, but a showcase inside.. 
There's even a chocolate mine train with all the dwarfs made of chocolate...
Don't forget Chase Card holders (Doesn't have to be a Disney Chase Card) can take advantage of the lounge they have provided at the American Pavillion on the 2nd floor. Free soft drinks and water, wifi, TV and a relaxing sitting area with A/C.. We've taken advantage of this perk the last two years we've gone.
