1. Transportation - You never have to be/designate a DD!
2. Cast Members - Where else do you get welcomed home?
3. ADRs/Fastpass+
4. Extra Magic Hours
5. Never having to burst the magical "Disney Bubble" for your entire vacation!

We have family members who own a luxury 6 bed villa near Disney that we could stay in for practically nothing. I bet they think we are crazy because we still pay to stay in a Disney hotel instead! These are the reasons.

1. DH does not drive so if we stayed off property I would have to do 100% of driving. Although we hire a car in WDW, there is no pressure. I just use the car to go to Walmart, malls, outlets, Universal etc. while in the Disney bubble we use Disney transportation all of the time.
2. I like to have a glass of wine, it is part of my holiday. I would not be able to drink at all if I had to drive back every time. Therefore another reason for Disney Transportation.
3. Taxis are easy to get and inexpensive within Disney, whereas to go as far as the off property villa round trip would be a false economy - it would be cheaper to pay for the Disney hotel room!
4. The absolute magical experience of being submerged in a themed resort - pure escapism!
5. Extra magic hours.

This is going to look a lot like everyone else's lists, but here goes anyway.

1. Magical Express. No need to fetch those checked bags, just walk to the ME and off you go.
2. Disney transportation. I'm separating this from the ME because even if you have a car and don't use ME, you can still use the buses/monorail/boats. Even when the lines are long at the end of a park day, I still love not having to hunt for the car and drive back to our resort.
3. Extra Magic Hours. I mean, DUH.
4. 60-day FastPass+ window. Also, DUH.
5. Never leaving the bubble and getting Disney's quality service from the moment we board the ME to the moment we return to the airport.

1. "Welcome Home"
2. No rental car, you can leave the driving to Disney.
3. Magic Bands (we love them!)
4. ADR's and fastpass
5. Never leaving the magical bubble that is Disney.

Let's see. My 5 reasons go as follows:

1. Transportation (Buses, monorails and boats are available, they're free, you don't have to deal with giant parking lots where you may end up getting lost and not being able to find your car, and while the wait times aren't perfect, transportation is more available and more efficient than let's say an off-site hotel that may have a shuttle that runs only a few times per day.)
2. Proximity to the theme parks (You're a lot closer to the theme parks and the resort as a whole. So it's probably the quickest way to the parks.)
3. "Welcome Home" greeting
4. Offers more activities to do. (I said this earlier but at Disney, I don't want to feel like staying in my room watching TV all day is the only activity to do. Sure, most hotels offer restaurants, pools, fitness centers and maybe a gift shop, but Disney resorts offer a lot more activities in the resort. Movie nights, video arcades, recreation activities at the actual resorts, etc.)
5. Theming - Every resort has its own unique look, theme and personality. It's not a generic rectangular white-painted shaped hotel you see in every city you can think of.

1. Being immersed in the Disney experience from start to finish, from the Welcome Home to the sad tearful goodbye and from waking up and falling asleep in your room that is full of Disney pizazz!.
2. ALL of the Cast Members you interact with. The guards at the security shack when you first pull in, the Mousekeeping staff, the CM's at the resort dining, the parking lots, all of them. You get more interaction than if you were just a day visitor.
3. Transportation - We normally drive but having the option to take a bus, boat, taxi or several other forms of transport is a plus.
4. Mickey Mail - From the Welcome Package to the Magic Bands showing up, I love love love getting Micky Mail!!!!
5. Speaking of Magic Bands, I love having everything right at my wrist, key, charges, fastpass, memory maker.... Makes life a little easier and well, hey, it says it right there... MAGIC!!!

Here's the link to all the reasons my kids and I came up with! We thought that we had it all covered and I'm flaberghasted that you all have come up with even more "perks" of staying on property. With all this going for it it really makes the higher price point worthwhile.
