Can't wait to hear all about the cruise. I hope Cristobal wasn't too much of a pain!

Interestingly enough, with the exception of last night and early this morning, this was the smoothest, least turbulent cruise that we've ever had. We hardly felt any movement of the ship at all. So no, Cristobal wasn't a factor at all.

Last night, however, was quite rough. The Captain warned all the passengers that we will encounter swells and will be rather turbulent. He wasn't kidding. The ship was moving in all directions, at least, it felt that way. Luckily, all of this happened after 10:00 pm, and by the time the big ones hit us, I was already in bed and asleep. I did wake up a few times during the night to feel the ship swayed here and there, but this didn't affect me at all since I was lying down.

More photos during the boarding of the Disney Dream for the Member Cruise.

This is around the main hall.

As we go to the boarding ramp, more banners.

Inside the atrium of The Disney Dream, a number of ice sculptures can be found.

Needless to say, these sculptures were gone by the next morning.

Z, I am as happy Cristobal didn't impact your cruise! I was so worried about it when I saw the weather! That's awesome that it was pretty much smooth sailing. Bummer about the last night being so rough, but like you said, it was late and you were already in bed. We leave in 16 days, and I'm watching the hurricane forecasts like crazy! When we went in October last year, it was smooth as glass. Hoping for the same this time!

Enjoy WDW! Can't wait for more pictures!

Catching up with our Cruise report, as soon as we got on board, we headed to Deck 11 to have lunch at the Cabanas.

This is my very first plate of food on the cruise:

I had stone crab claws, mahi mahi, lamb chops, a bunch of veggies, and a multigrain roll. It was delicious.

After filling my plate a couple of times with more crab claws, shrimps, and prime rib, it was dessert time.

They were also selling a cocktail drink served in the DVC Cruise glass.

All in all, it was the start of a full 4 1/2 days where I never once felt hungry! It wasn't pretty, folks!

It has turned into a rainy, stormy evening here. We are chilling out at SSR and playing it by ear on what to do after dinner.

After lunch, we went to out stateroom for the first time. This is where the gifts started coming. When we entered, there were 1. A silver cruise line bag as returning silver member, and 2. Two DVC member cruise bags. Each bag contained a beach mat, a hat, a plastic, insulated cup, and a pair of ear phones, all marked with the DVC member cruise logo.
The bag itself is quite nice. It is large, expandable, and insulated!

This was just the beginning of the gifts and the giveaways we got on this cruise.

Just getting back into the swing of things and catching up on all of these great posts! Looks like a fun trip so far. We hit some rain at WDW earlier this week, too. Hopefully it will pass quickly and you can get on with your trip! Did you guys enjoy Mine Train? We found it to be a bit uncomfortable as most people had previously reported, but a very cool ride!

We were on the very top deck, in front of the ship, so you may have us there in one of the photos. We didn't rush to the gift shops till around 5:00 pm when they were about to open. I am glad to report that we got all the pins we wanted, AND MORE! I'll take a picture of my collection, including the mystery anchor pin sets that I managed to get.

With our luggage, our gifts, and all the stuff we bought, we are packing the SUV very, VERY full for our drive home tomorrow.
