Are you artistic?

Brad -- I think I'm artistic, but that could definitely be in the eye of the beholder! I know for a fact that computer-based graphics are completely beyond me! I do like to bake, watercolor paint, and write, but I do none of them at a professional level! =D

Lizzy -- Can't wait to see some photos of the gingerbread house!

JeffC -- There's a LOT of art going on in your house, though! I bet you contribute to that quite a bit! Have you ever tried to paint? Walmart has some surprisingly good paints and canvasses...never hurts to try! =D

So I'm pretty much completely useless when it comes to anything intended to be visually appealing. I really would love to be handy with Illustrator and Photoshop, or even just able to draw something. Sadly it is not in the cards.

I know we have some artistic photographers. Who among us is artistic in general?

Is this license to brag, Brad? I'm fairly handy with a camera, and we are good-to-great cooks and bakers here. In fact, we're already starting to think about this year's gingerbread house. A small affair usually, but completely from scratch.

This will be fun! Let's hear from everyone, and post some pics even.

I have no artistic abilities. I really wish I did - I would love to paint.

I am not artistic in the sense that I can paint a picture or anything..but I think I'm pretty crafty...I love to decorate my house and refurbish vintage stuff.
(And if anyone cares I can make a pretty fierce looking bulletin board that is envied..I am not sure where that would come in handy though).

I'm pretty good with a camera, but that's about the extent of visual art for me.

I have been told, however, that I am a very good writer. I do fiction - both short stories and novels, poetry and plays. I've had some short stories published and am trying with my novels.

Although I haven't done much lately, I'm also a pretty good director - or at least I think I did a good job when I did some theatrical stuff with my students.

But ask me to draw something, you'll basically get stick figures and squiggles.

Robyn: Pictures?

Teacherdrama: Have you ever directed film, or just stage?
