*BIG* meet up Fall 2016

Depending on the dates, Mrs. Colonel and I may be interested. Looking at the calendar, the best time for my Fall 2016 vacation would be 10/15-25.

We live in Florida, so a cruise would be easy for us (me and DW). With that said, I'll keep an eye out for dates and itinerary.

So excited! DH and I (along with the little one) are definitely interested! I'll keep everyone updated with what I'm able to find out about group bookings.

You're a travel agent for Disney!? How did I miss that!?

It is very unlikely we will be able to do this, due to financial restraints, however, please keep me in the loop. I always think never say never - we might win the lottery or something. I would love to come on this meet up if I can.

I would like to add myself and 1 other into the hoping and praying group.

Plans for 2016 are a way off but I aim to know by April if I can do 2016, I know that if I am going it will be October or November. It is not so much the date as the destination that is holding me back right now.

I have recently been discussing with another group the things we can do on board, and thanks to the other thread we are setting up a private mixology class
Think we will also be setting up other get togethers as most of the group are going without kids.

We have a second Disney travel agent among us, the lovely and talented Alicemouse! So TWO dedicated Disney travel agents to help us with any planning needs. If you're in Pennsylvania or Maryland, USA, Alicemouse will be especially convenient since she's nearby.

And put hubby and me in the "maybe" column. If we can make it work with our next Annual Pass, we'll do it. For us, November would be best and late October very doable.

I'm going to go with the "interested" list.

I'm a little on the fence just because there are some rumblings of other trips happening (possibly a friends food & wine + wine & dine 1/2 marathon next fall; likely a Star Wars Weekend in spring 2016). I'm already borrowing ahead on points and if I keep this up, I'm going to have to buy more! Also I might have over-Disney'd Benn just a bit this year, plus he want's to do some travel related to his writing (he's written 4 novels and is in the process of fine tuning them and trying to get noticed by an agent by attending various trade shows and conventions). Although he is interested in doing a Disney cruise, so that might just be the carrot that he needs to tag along! Unless maybe we join in on the cruise and then I finally relent to doing Universal for the park portion of our stay. That will almost certainly get him on board!

I would love to do this! Depending on hockey of course it could be me... me and Joe... Or me, Joe and Blondie! So for now, the maybe list I guess. DVC will sway me once we finalize. Life keeps getting in the way since we've been back. I need another vacation, work is keeping us both super busy

Sadly, I really don't think I could do a cruise BUT I would totally be up for being at WDW at the same time as that portion of the meet up

I'd be interested in meeting up at WDW...like Spook, I can't stretch to DCL but will have my own place to stay at, so would only need to know when so I can pull the trigger. This is, however dependent on my work and agencies...

Due to our union I cant put in for vacation until January 2016, but
October is a good month for us to travel and I will have 24yrs of seniority by then!

Mmmm...I don't like boats..I've sailed on some seas that make the film " Perfect Storm " a breeze..Lol...I know it will be calm waters,but the fear of walking on any boat,any size, is enough to make me throw a fit..Iam hoping to meet up with a family from New Jersey in 2016..But it's a long way off..Iam still working out which time of month..Early November..Mid November..Late November..

24 years of seniority, WOW that SHOULD get you any vacation time slot you want and need. I retired after 30 and had weekends and Holidays off and days only for the last 7 Seniority has it's privileges.

Me and the hubby can go on the maybe list....sounds like so much fun and from reading everyone's Oct. trip reports seems like there is less rain than at the end of Sept.

It shouldn't be too long. They were just recently released for up to April 2016! I'd say 4-6 months at the very most.

I talked to Benn about the idea and it sounds like we're in!! I did throw out the Universal carrot, so we'll likely be joining in on the cruise, staying DVC, and doing Universal/IOA and the long awaited Backstage Magic Tour (since it does not require a park ticket)! Once in Orlando, we'd love to meet up with the folks who are opting out of the cruise, so maybe we could plan something at a resort or Downtown Disney?

Well, we definitely can't do a cruise, but I'd love to join in at the WDW parks meet up. Depending on DH On~call schedule, we would be available for a meet up on a Saturday or Sunday. Even if it's just for a quick drink or to say "Hello" we're in for a meet up at one of the parks.

I can definitely do the park part of the meet up but the cruise is a bit harder for me to pull off. I do want to go on a cruise, so maybe that will be the time I can go.

Mandy and JoAnnC, I may be looking to share a cabin if that helps in your decision. My DW will probably not be sailing. We have 2 weeks on the Fantasy in January 2016 before her nursing school starts. Just a thought

Me: "I don't know why you have to bring the year into it, that has nothing to do with it, you go by months.
Disney is always measured by months, not years, and from January (2015) to October (2016) its
21 months, almost two years".
