English people also love Walt Disney World!

Hi All,

Yes as the title suggests, I am from the UK/England! clapping And it is safe to say that I.Love.Walt.Disney.World.

I'm Tristan, 20 from the southwest of England, exactly 4,235 Miles from WDW mickey I have been to the resort many times, I'd say about 5 times, but 2/3 trips was when I was quite young and I'm still trying to get the dates/years of when we went and where we stayed!

My last trip was in 2010 (Another trip is in order, more on that later..) and we stayed off-site at the Regal Sun Resort (Now called Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort) which, although not Disney, was great! Free WiFi (Before Disney Resort Hotel's introduced), really close to DD so it was great to have a meal in the evening there! And catch La Nouba which is the best!

This was a great holiday as we did 1 week Disney and 1 week Caribbean cruise with Royal Caribbean (Should've been a Disney Cruise Wink )

Apart from Disney, I'm currently studying/training to become a commercial airline pilot. This involves pretty much daily studying but I also have a part-time job working at a well-known UK Grocery store.

Aviation has been my all-time passion and dream but Disney is too. I don't really know what hooked me on Disney, more specifically Walt Disney World Resort, but it's the most amazing place in the world, and the place I call my second home!

Because if my aviation, I have to build up hours, and I am currently looking at doing this in Florida sooo it would be incredibly rude not to spend just under a week there! Better start saving up!! Laughing out loud

I really want this community to be my Disney Online home as I am part of another Disney Community, but it's huge and really hard to keep track of what everyone else is saying, it seems really busy. I hope this place is a little quieter and friendlier! (Not that it's a rude community, just not really a personal forum, it's great for stop-and-go info/gossip/rumours)

Well that about wraps it up! I hope to see you all around on the forum!

Best Wishes and as in my signature, keep those Disney dreams alive! mickey

Tristan

welcome Tristan. You have come to the right place. We are a friendly group who love all things Disney. Like JoAnn said we have quite a few from the UK who call this home. My favorite park is Animal Kingdom but of course MK is a real close second. Again welcome.

Hello Tristan and welcome! Nice to have you join us.

I too love love love Rock n Roller Coaster! It's my "I have arrived! ride for each trip.

I think you will find this forum to be a nice, managable group of friendly Disney lovers. That's been my experience over the past 3 years.

Do you have an idea yet when your next trip will be?

Thanks for the welcome Jeff! It's such an adrenaline rush ride and...get this.. I used to be absolutely terrified of the ride! Used to queue up and just before we were about to get on, I bottled out, couldn't do it! I'm a different man now! Laughing out loud

I'd love to put a date and how many days left until down but I can't Sad I just don't know.. It all comes down to cost and time, it will be a finely tuned trip if I do go Smile ideally I would love to do both flying and Disney out in Florida within the next year and a bit, ideally, but we'll see!

Many thanks,

Tristan

welcome Tristan, you'll love it here. I'm a UK-er as well - near Southampton. A pilot sounds like a fun career, how much more training do you have to do?

Hi Fiona,

Thanks for the warm welcome! I live in Somerset, in a town called Taunton! I have just started my theory training/studies which will take a year to complete then I will be doing all the flight training which again could take about year or half a year Smile

No I was/am from WDWMagic Smile Don't get me wrong, it's a great site, I just found the forum really really busy and just felt that what you were posting wasn't really being read, because there was always too many posts!

I come from Taunton in Somerset! You are closer to the airport than me then, but technically I am closer to WDW than you Wink

Hey, Tristan! We're so glad to have you!

I hope you find this to be a welcoming bunch of folks with info out the WAZOO about Disney World. They're amazing!

We've stayed at the Regal Sun, too, (when it was called that) and loved it, as well! Will you stay on property this time, or does it just all depend on your studies, etc.?

Hey Tristan. So glad you decided to join us. We're a fun bunch. Tell us more about some of your WDW favorites...snack, character, restaurant, etc.

I LOVE THE ROCK'N'ROLLER COASTER!! I rode that thing a million times when I was there in 2010. I was afraid the first time I got on it, too. Then I loved it so much, that I would do "single rider" just so I could get through the line quicker haha
