Fantasy Disney Hotel

If you had one trip to Walt Disney World with unlimited money, which Resort Hotel (the castle suite doesn't count) would you stay at and Why? Would you have a room preference? What view would you want?

This is a really hard question for me to answer because my gut reaction is that I would want to be in a 3 bedroom villa at Bay Lake Tower with a Magic Kingdom View. However after taking a moment to really thing about it I changed my mind.

I would want to stay in the Grand Floridian suite that Princess Diana used when she took her boys to WDW in the 90's, I think it would be amazing to have truly royal treatment. Smile

I'm going AKL Club savannah view. The view (of the animals would change each day) free food and beverages too.

But what is your idea of the best view possible? Everyone's is a little different. Would you want a castle view?

Mine is pretty simple. I would like to stay in the Polynesian in the same building we usually stay in. I love it there. Since it is a fantasy though, I would like to make that stay two weeks long.

I would love a lagoon/MK view but I don't know if I'd necessarily want to stay in Hawaii to get the unobstructed view.

My fantasy was the Contemporary in a MK View Room on a high floor....but I did that in October of last year. Since I crossed that one off of my bucket list, I think I'll go for the Polynesian with a MK view!

My ultimate dream is to stay at The Grand Floridian! LOVE LOVE muchlove LOVE that resort! Totally obsessed with anything "Victorian". GF is so beautiful I wouldn't care where my room was. It's so elegant and makes you feel like you've stepped back in time.

Oh, gosh. I have several, and they are all the ones you guys have mentioned.

1. Grand Floridian!!!
2. AKL, Savannah view
3. Contemporary, MK view, high floor

As they say at MK, "dreams come true." Maybe so!

Contemporary with a MK view, on an upper floor.
We stayed there during my very first trip to WDW in 1973 when I was 2 years old (yes, I am the same age as WDW!), and I would love to take my mom and aunt there with me to re-create that first trip. (Especially since I remember VERY little about that trip!)

I'm also going with Contemporary, MK view, upper floor. Right outside MK and a quick monorail ride to Epcot. Can't get much better than than.

I can't decide. Since this is a fantasy, I'm going with a split stay - one week at the Grand Floridian and one week at AKL, Savannah view.

Oh my! I would have to say the Grand Floridian in one of the new DVC villas. I wanted to stay in the GF back when we got married but was told that it would not be opened yet.. (that's how long ago that was! 24 yrs ago this month) but it was... what a disappointment but we did stay in the Disney Inn (Shades of Green now)

It's wonderful to dream!

The Poly with the room next to scrappy & mrhub, because every webcam I've seen has a view I love!! And it would be a blast! yay

And since scrappy said 2 weeks, I guess we would just have to stay for 2 weeks too! biggrin

This may sound odd, but I'm going to start out with Wilderness Lodge. And since it's a fantasy and things go exactly as I want, me and my best Weird NJ buds go exploring in Big River Country and Discovery Island with no repercussions or nasty diseases as a result!

After that, why not resort hop for like, two weeks? I've never gotten to stay in a deluxe and I want to try them all!

Now we're getting somewhere.

I'd also add free deluxe dining to it.

I love the Boardwalk. We park there every week when we go to the concerts, and walk through to the back entrance of EPCOT. I love the atmosphere and the boardwalk at night. We actually got stuck there during a storm yesterday and sat on the balcony and watched the rain...it was great! We have never stayed there. I would like a room overlooking the lake and boardwalk.

Close second is AKL with a Savannah view, we did that years ago soon after it opened, but I'd like to do it again!

Also in the running is Grand Floridian...love it there, we go and wander around at Christmas every year.

And of course either unlimited food budget or the deluxe dining plan since we rarely eat anywhere when we are there.

I like the Resort hopping idea, I took my son, and his girlfriend to WDW last year for their HS graduation, and spent 4 nights each at the Boardwalk, AKL (Jambo House), and (after I ran out of DVC points) the Coronado. I'd like to check out the rest of the resorts, and see if I have a favorite. I'd have to check out the 3br villa at the AKL too.

I'm with you on this one, with a sort of second tier choice of GF magic kingdom view. Love the Grand Floridian! mickey

awesome I'm there! But we would all have to stay in the King Kamehameha Suite for a few days. Maybe even have a Grownups meet & greet there.

Yacht Club - Admiral Suite Tower Room.
I want the tower room overlooking the lagoon. Nothing picky!

Becca1005

The Yacht Club calls to me, but proximity to the Magic Kingdom wins so Grand Floridian it is! Unless, they went ahead and built a monorail extension to the AKL. Wink

Jan and I have been to every resort on property at WDW. The magic we experienced was not through the resort but in the faces of all the folks we got to see. No doubt the most Magic we saw in faces was at Pop Century. If it's not a question of how much money we can spend, then for us it was always a question of how much wonder we could feel.
My choice--Pop Century.
Joe
